The Church Campout was a blast ….but what’s camping without a little adventure?
Thanks to our friends at Luke5Adventures Tucson, we hit the trail to soak in all the beauty of God’s creation
Grateful for the laughter, the views, and the joy of doing life together!

One-day-only coffee shop = big smiles + happy teachers!
After brewing up joy for our Lamb’s Gate crew, we jumped into Friends Circle, learned more from Acts, and got crafty making handprint cactuses for our missionary friends in Thailand! Finishing up with worship!
From lattes….to love in action….what a day!!!

Our friends are diving into the book of Acts and it’s been an adventure! Each week they share their own good news stories before learning what it means to spread the Good News like the disciples and be part of God’s big family.

Worship time has turned into a full-on band practice and let’s just say, this crew is bringing the joy!

We also started learning about our amazing missionary friends, the Hoanins, who are serving in Thailand, sharing Jesus’s love with individuals with disabilities through their ministry, Kingdom Kids.

Our final Friends Circle of the summer was a blast!

We wrapped up the season by diving into the Days of Creation, reviewing what God created each day, playing a fun Scattegories-style game to test our memory and creativity, and working together to build a huge timeline full of examples from each day.

Each friend even made their own Days of Creation chart to show off their creativity and they did an amazing job!

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the summer. Stay tuned for details on when our fall semester begins — we can’t wait to see everyone again soon!

Summer Friends Circle is going strong!
Our amazing friends are continuing to explore the Beautiful Beginning of God's Creation Story, and today, we landed on Day 6: the day God created humans in His own image and likeness.
We spent time exploring what it truly means to be made in God's image — not just in form, but in spirit, in our joy, strength, creativity, love, and kindness.
To bring it to life, each friend created a self-portrait that celebrates the unique way they reflect God's heart. The results? Pure beauty and bold identity on full display!

Summer’s Friend Circle has officially begun — and what a joyful kickoff it was!
This week, our friends explored the Days of Creation and got hands-on with some meaningful (and very fashionable!) bracelets to help them remember what God made each day:
White – Light
Blue – Sky and seas
Green – Land and trees
Yellow – The sun
Clear – The stars
Orange – Birds and fish
Brown – Animals
And the final bead? Their favorite color — to remind them that on Day 6, God created them too, wonderfully and purposefully made!
Even more exciting, they discovered that Jesus was there from the very beginning right at Creation, working with the Father and Spirit.
We’re so excited for what the rest of the summer holds. Thank you to everyone who helped make our first week a success we can’t wait to grow, learn, and laugh together all summer long!

That’s a wrap on our final Mission Crew/Friends Circle for the summer! What a ride it’s been filled with laughter, growth, and some seriously epic moments. Today, our incredible crew kept the good vibes flowing by making everyone’s favorite drinks and then jumped straight into rehearsals for the BIG showcase at the end of the month.

We can’t wait for you all to see what we’ve been working on it’s going to be something really special.

This isn’t goodbye, just a “see you soon”! We’ll still have a few Friends Circle hangouts over the summer to keep the community strong and the fun going. Grateful for every one of you who showed up, leaned in, and made this space what it is.

What a BEAUTIFUL day for fellowship, friendship, and fresh air!

Our amazing friends Rylan and Deborah planned an awesome hike with our buddies from Luke5Adventures Tucson and invited the whole Friends Circle crew to tag along — and wow, what a day it was!

Tizoc and Nacelle came ready for adventure and had an absolute BLAST!

HUGE shoutout to our superstar Sherpas — Mike, Sean, and Janet — seriously, y’all are the BEST!

Wednesdays are a GIFT!

The coffee shop was a little slow yesterday, so what did we do? We ALL jumped in and tackled every little task that needed doing around our beloved church—because teamwork makes the dream work!

Afterward, we gathered in Upper F to dive deep into God’s big story and focused on the Everlasting End (sounds epic, right? Spoiler: it is!). Then, we hit the high notes (literally) as we rehearsed some of the incredible songs for our big showcase in April!

We can’t WAIT to show off everything we’ve learned—get ready, it’s going to be amazing!

Just a reminder, The coffee shop is OPEN every Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM! Our amazing friends are still serving up delicious coffee, Italian sodas etc. and are eager to make your favorite drink with a smile!

Don’t forget to stop by, grab a sip, and say hi! We’d love to see you!

The Mission Crew was back in action today, and let us tell you if you stepped onto the Journey Church campus, you would’ve seen our friends making moves! From the sanctuary to the coffee shop, we were BUSY but it was so good to be back.

After all the hard work, we gathered in Upper F to dive back into everything we learned last semester from God’s big story. Spoiler alert: our friends remembered A LOT (and had a blast doing it)!
