Scene call at the Kern County raceway today with the perfect LZ being the actually raceway itself. Great pre hospital care and activation to get the patient to tertiary care with transport time of 11 minutes. Thanks Kern County Fire Department Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. for the great teamwork. Also thanks to Ricky Hill for the great catch of us taking off.

LZ class today at Delano Airport with Kern County Fire and Hall EMS 🙌🏻 These classes help with new fire recruits and Hall employees on helicopter operations, safety and best practices. These classes also allow our crews to interact with prehospital partners in a not so fast paced setting. Thanks KCFD and Hall EMS for coming out 💪🏻🙌🏻

Sometimes we end up across state lines! Flight the other day from Kern Valley Medical center to Sunrise Medical center in Sunny Las Vegas Nevada! Flight time of 90 minutes thru the sandy desert. Kudos to CBL flight medic Gabe and flight nurse Greg! Along with shout out to float pilot Steve for the great navigating and flying

Some snaps from today’s scene (911) call from Frazier Park area 💪🏻. Patient was rapidly treated and transported to an area trauma center decreasing out of hospital morbidity and mortality. Kudos to our great community partners Hall Ambulance and Kern County Fire 🔥
When it comes to scene calls, not only can we provide faster transport to the appropriate facility, but we also operate under our own patient care guidelines allowing RSI Intubation, further pharmaceutical administration, chest tube insertion, advanced ventilator management and blood product administration! We typically always carry one to two units of Whole blood or PRBCs ( Packed red blood cells) with plasma as well along with a warrior lite blood warmer to rapidly transfuse to patients in need

Meet our new Flight Nurse- Farah!

Hi, I’m Farah
I bring more than five years of ICU experience, with a background spanning CCU, SICU, MICU, CVICU, and NICU. I’ve also spent the last three years working in ground Critical Care Transport, which eventually led me to take the exciting leap from the road to the skies.

Outside of work, I’m a wife and proud mom to an energetic 3 year old who keeps life busy, fun, and never boring. I love spending time with my family, and when I get the chance, you can usually find me on the pickleball court. I absolutely love playing, even if my enthusiasm is still a little better than my skill level. 😂

I’ve always loved the fast paced and unpredictable nature of critical care, along with the teamwork that comes with transport medicine. I’m constantly looking for ways to learn, grow, and challenge myself, which ultimately led me to flight nursing. I’m excited for this next chapter and proud to be part of the AMC team! 🚁❤️

Pediatric transfer to UCLA Ronald Reagan yesterday for higher level of care 💪🏻 flight time of 60 minutes vs a ground time of 135 minutes. Patient was continually treated en route by Flight medic Ashley and Flight nurse Chris. Also amazing landing and flight operations by Pilot Pete 🙌🏻

Scene call up to Pine Mountain Club yesterday 💪🏻 Quick launch and great care and communication with our community partners Kern County Fire Department and Hall Ambulance Service, Inc.. Patient was treated and transported with an air time of 15 minutes vs ground time of 55 🙌🏻. Mercy Air Air Methods

Mercy Air 15 provides 911 “scene” transport and Inter-facility transport services. Working under progressive guidelines, we bring the ICU to you. From motorcycle crashes and car accidents to strokes or transfers for higher level of care, we got you covered and ready to provide to best care there is. Clip above was a transfer for a pediatric with an Air time from Bakersfield to Los Angeles of only 40 minutes to get the patient to the surgical care they needed

We had a great time today meeting with Kern Medical Staff about our capabilities, what we can fly/do, our progressive treatment guidelines and to show off our aircraft! It was great meeting all the new ER residents and RNs along with social workers and other healthcare partners. Shout to Hall Ambulance for coming out and talking about there agency and capabilities as well along with showing off there Supervisor unit 🙌🏻

We had a great time at the Adventist Tehachapi family night! It was great connecting with the community, fellow first responders ( shout out to Kern County Fire Department and Hall Ambulance Service, Inc. ) and the Adventist Tehachapi Hospital team!
