SHOW 445 SUPERCHARGE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM: THIS WORKS!How do you super charge your immune system? Not the super baloney everyone else tells you—like downing a few supplements. If that’s what you’re doing, and you’re not sleeping, and you’re not eating, and you’re not exercising and you’re not doing some of the things I suggest—you’re not going to supercharge anything.

So yeah, you get a little help from this herb and that herb—and I am going to tell you some herbs to take—but that in itself is not going to cut it. You’re still going to get the flu, you’re still going to get the cold, you’re still going to get the flesh-eating bacteria, you’re still going to get sick, you’re still going to be growing broccoli spears out of your head if you swim in the ocean and it’s filthy. These things are still going to happen if you just depend on supplements.

So, just so everyone gets it straight--supplements are good. Supplements are God’s gift. Plants help us. Companies that make good supplements do us a service. But, but, but…if you believe the hype behind the sale of a supplement—which means if you believe that you don’t have to do anything else besides down that supplement—you’ve got to be really careful with that. You’re definitely not going to supercharge your immune system. Now, how do you do that?

Okay, let’s get into the practices behind supercharging your immune system. Ice water. There’s nothing more anti-flu, anti-viral than diving into a freezing ocean and feeling your body get WARM in it. When you feel warm in it—you ain’t getting sick. All of northern Europe understands this—Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia. I didn’t discover this. Look up the name Wim Hof—he’s telling you this. This stuff works. We ought to have these places springing up in back yards and spas. They will if the public wants it.

Do you know what happens to your macrophages? Do you know what happens to your NK cells? Do you know what happens to your white blood cells? You can SEE this. You can SEE this under a microscope. They become aggressive. They become supercharged like they are on steroids.

And after that ice water, how about going into a nice hot banya? Sit in that wood or rock and it’s 200 degrees in there, and then go back to the ice pool. Hot cold therapy—real hot cold therapy. You can also go into the ocean, and then go to a hot sauna. You can go to Ojai, where you have hot springs and then you’ve got ice cold streams right next to it. You can do it anywhere. You do that, you do some variation of that. And if you look at the blood for aggressivity of the macrophages and the immune system in the blood—they’re all running around like wild animals.

So to supercharge your immune system, that’s one thing you can do. Here’s another one--hydrochloric acid and mineral therapy. Back in the day before the medical institutions were owned by pharmaceutical companies, you had medical doctors using natural means to cure people, and they wrote books. I call it the Golden Age of Medicine. It was 1850 to 1930. That was the Golden Age of Medicine. You know why? Because we had enough technology, enough good science, enough scientific method, enough technique, and then we had a lot of medical doctors who didn’t know about drugs because there were no drugs. So medical doctors wrote books like this guy, Walter Bryant Guy. Get the book—get into this stuff.

Now, what about your intestines? Did you know that most of the immune system is in the intestines? So let’s just do some math here. You’re out there swimming in the ocean and some bug gets into your system, or you’re out traveling on your honeymoon and some bug gets into your system, you put your hand on the bathroom door and some bug gets into your system... Bugs get into your system! They are everywhere. You’re not going to get away from them, and a massive part of your immune system is in your intestines. Why? You’ve diverted your troops into your gut because you eat foods that you think are okay but they’re garbage. When you burden your digestion, you shunt your immune system to your gut and so there’s nothing left in your blood. That’s why we ought to be fasting once or twice a week. Give the intestines a break.

So factor in hot cold therapy, factor in hydrochloric therapy, factor in fasting. And then you can add in mushrooms—and I’m not talking about the mushrooms in your omelet. I’m talking about mushrooms like reishi, coriolus, shiitake, maitake, cordyceps—from great companies like Premier Research Labs, Dragon Herbs, Mushroom Science. Use your common sense and try a diversity of mushrooms. The beta glucan extracted from mushrooms supercharges your macrophages. Herbs do work, BUT along with the other things I’ve mentioned.

The last one is sleep. Sleep. You watch little kids and you know what they do when they’re getting sick—they sleep. They sleep 16 hours. That’s what nature does. That’s what animals do. If you sleep deep, and especially if you sleep on the Earth—you’re on!

How do you super charge your immune system? Not the super baloney everyone else tells you—like downing a few supplements. If that's what you're doing, and you're not sleeping, and you& #

Impotence, Incontinence, and Bladder Infections: Why Your Sacrum Is the Answer! Show 443

Today’s show is about the sacrum, the triangular bone at the bottom of your lumbar spine. Now, I could do a show on low back pain; I could do a show on bladder infection; I could do a show on impotence; I could do a show on psychological issues—but I would be falling into the trap if I did. I would be dummying it down for you, disrespecting you, and not giving you the benefit of the higher concept.

Today’s show is not about your chronic bladder infection. It’s not about the fact that you’re half senile. It’s not about the fact that your back is killing you. It’s not about the fact that your knee hurts. It’s not about the fact that you’re impotent. It’s about the fact that if you understand what the sacrum is all about—sacrum as in sacred—if you understand the mystery of the sacrum, you would understand that if you fix your sacrum, you’ll fix everything else.

The mistake you make is that you want to know about what to do about your symptom—how to fix your chronic bladder infection, or how to fix your failing memory, or the back pain or neck pain that won’t go away. You’re not understanding that no matter what you’ve got—the big picture is to understand how to fix the sacrum. What do I mean? What’s wrong with your sacrum?

When people get into their seventies and eighties, when you watch them walk across the street--it looks like they might tip over. That’s when the sacrum starts to fuse to the fifth, fourth, and third lumbar vertebrae. When people begin to fixate down low; they look like they’re going to tip over.

What they don’t tell you is that all of the nerve plexuses—the bundles of nerves somatic and autonomic—that control your bladder—whether you can hold it or whether you can empty it—your te**es, ovaries, uterus, vaginal ca**l, kidneys, rectum—everything down there demands a soft, pliable sacrum.

What do I mean by a pliable sacrum? Watch dancers shake their b***y—where the rib cage moves one way and the b***y goes another way. You have to have a very pliable, flexible sacrum to be able to isolate the lower part of your body to accomplish that. As you’re doing that, you’re pulling the nerve plexuses. You’re pulling the nerve plexus in front of the sacrum that send current to all the places I just mentioned.

Not to mention that current causes an upward current into your brain. So when they do surgeries fusing L5 to S1-- it affects your head. Think of the term “craniosacral”—the sacrum has to be pliable to get up to the head. It shoots a current up to your brain and the ventricles swell. The sacrum is sacred.

Back in the day the pagans, the Druids, the Vikings, the Celts, the Saxons—those eight footer types--those tribes would take this bone and make it into a pendant and wear it around their neck-- they knew of it’s esoteric qualities. So did the ancient Egyptians.

Now that being the case, chiropractors will nod and crack, crackety, crack away to mobilize that sacrum. And sometimes that works—but mobilizing the sacrum in the interest of pulling the perineal plexus, of pulling all those nerves and getting them to shoot their electrical current into your organs so your organs work correctly—that’s a tour de force. It’s not just about a chiropractic adjustment or a bunch of acupuncture needles. That’s superficial stuff that may help you in an acute phase—and I hope it does. But, if you want HEALTH, the whole shebang, the home run, the grand slam…you’ve got to do it yourself.

Ida Rolf understood this. Anyone who’s really understood how the body moves understands that you have to mobilize the sacrum. So you need to stand up, tuck under, and squeeze the a**l sphincter, squeeze the vaginal ca**l, and feel a strong pulse in your brain. If you can do this, you’re mobilizing the sacrum. If you can’t, your sacrum is locked. The implications of this are enormous.

If people understood this, health would change dramatically. But the depth of understanding you have to bring to turn what I’m talking about into reality—that’s an education. What a concept—health is an education. Health is not going to the doctor and paying him to give you the “fix.” And I’m talking about holistic medicine.

Holistic health is not about going to the chiropractor for a crack, the acupuncturist for the needles, the massage therapist for a little touch, popping a few herbs and saying you’re holistic. That’s all okay. But the grand slam is underneath that. If you want a quick fix, that’s one thing. But if you want HEALTH, there are concepts. And that’s why you listen to this show—to get the concepts. That is where you get true health.

I do something nobody else does. I put you on a track and I teach you how to create health for yourself. If you’re in the trenches with something, you’ve got to learn what radical health is all about.

Now, getting back to the sacrum. You can’t mobilize the sacrum, you can’t have a fluid sacrum if your quadriceps are tight, if your psoas is tight, if you haven’t done the stretches, if you are not flexible. And it doesn’t automatically happen when you’re flexible—it means you’re one step closer. You need to lengthen through the quadriceps, lengthen through the lower head of the psoas.

There’s one exercise that is extremely effective in strengthening the lower abs and lengthening the psoas at the same time. There’s no such thing as mobilizing the sacrum without lengthening the psoas and strengthening the lower abs. And there’s no such thing as lengthening the psoas unless you lengthen your quads. And there’s no such things as doing all this without dealing with the emotions tucked into your groin. Right at the lower end of the psoas is the groin, where psychological damage exists.

No look at what I just did. Oh the web we weave. But that’s the reality.

You don’t open the Holy Book, memorize a few verses and say “Got it.” Now, why do you do this with your health? So many of you go to Bible study. The Bible is in code. You have to work to understand it. That’s the way health is. But you have to get perspective.

I call you out holistic health, and not that I blame you. You’re innocent. But we are young in our evolution. And the mistake we’re making is simple—we’re not giving it the respect it’s due. You must approach health the way you approach Bible study.

So, lower abs, lower psoas, lengthening the quadriceps, and feeling the emotion as it processes up in that groin area.

Now, above and beyond that is the rest of your body. I can’t talk about the sacrum without talking about the cranium. Those of you who clench the jaw, those a**l retentives who will not let go of that orifice—the Tony Randall’s out there. Your a**l retentive, obsessive compulsive personality will freeze the sacrum. If you walk into my office with low back pain and I get the sense that you are a**l retentive about everything in your life—I know my ship has sunk. I’m going nowhere with you because your psychological lock into that sphincter is so progressed that your sacrum is fusing into L5 every second of your life, even while you’re sleeping, and when you sleep you usually clench.

Check that out! You come in with low back pain, you come in with incontinence, you come in with impotence, and you’re a**l retentive in your character? End of game. Isn’t that fascinating? Holistic means any time you write down your chief concern—there are fifty other things worked into it—it’s a web. It’s a web, and the weak link is where you feel your pain.

You have to understand that your health concern is the weak link in the chain that extends in a myriad of ways that changes every single second. Health is about a labyrinth. You have to know how to navigate your way out of it. Linear thinking has its place, but you don’t heal linearly. What within you can guide you? The truth is, we call that your soul. The way out of it is through the intelligence of the soul.

Today's show is about the sacrum, the triangular bone at the bottom of your lumbar spine. Now, I could do a show on low back pain; I could do a show on bladder infection; I could do a show on imp

People stink, and I don't mean they don't take showers. Why do they stink? Aftershave lotion, cologne, hair spray, conditioner, cheap, toxic garbage perfumes, air fresheners, detergents that they wash their clothes with...

All these toxic, stinking lousy smells are carcinogens. They are all carcinogens. If you take that to the local research center, they're going to tell you I'm crazy. I'm not crazy--I can think outside the box. Can you?

How many of you walk around in this world noticing that the person next to you has on an aftershave lotion that is making you sick. I can't sit next to one of those people. My reality is running away from these people. I have to move or they do, because I'm not smelling that. Do you know what I'm talking about? If you do, you're vibrant!

If you don't, check yourself, because you're a little too numb. If you can't smell the chemical toxicity that we are inundated with, check yourself.

When nature makes lavender or orange or lemon or cinnamon, it's got a lovely fragrance. It's heaven. But in the industrial world we destroy this--we create the smell with chemicals to save money.

All these fragrances are "aldehyde" a**logues. If you ask a toxicologist if this has relevance, they'll tell you no, that the dosages are so low that it's not a danger. If you get down to it, salt is a carcinogen. Anything at high dosage can be dangerous. This my friend is one of the great loopholes.

People stink! All week long, you're exposed to this. And it's just people who don't have the money to afford the higher level stuff. Generally the cheaper things stink the worst. Should you be concerned? The literature will tell you that if the concentration, the dosage is under the LD50, than your tumor has nothing to do with that chemical, that the dosage you're exposed to is so low that you don't have to worry.
Toxicology will tell you the concentrations aren't high enough.

For you to get a tumor always means some sequence of genes has been persuaded to turn themselves on to produce unregulated cell growth. I'll stick to cancer, but I mean all diseases. When you get a tumor, a multitude of cells have been prompted by these smells to turn on. And if enough of them turn on, they start going into unregulated cell replication. That's cancer. There's always a mechanism that turns on cancer genes or turns off cancer suppression genes. And there's lots of ways to turn these genes on.

Suppose cinnamaldehyde does it one way, and too much estrogen does it another way, and benzopyrene does it another way. Suppose you need 5 units of cinnamaldehyde to turn that gene on, but instead, you have one unit of five different carcinogens to turn that gene on? It's called bio-accumulation. It's the combined toxicity.

Those of you who call yourself environmentally challenged--you are not environmentally challenged because there is something wrong with you--you are environmentally challenged because there is something right with you! I am environmentally challenged. I work out, I live a full life, my body is strong, I don't stop. Yet I am environmentally challenged. I know it's not me--it's the environment. Your life has never been about something wrong or defective with you. Your nervous system can detect something wrong or defective in the environment around you. And that's a very different way to look at it.

But here's what's complicated about you, you--the environmentally challenged. Now what I mean by environmentally challenged are people who can't function because of the toxic smells I'm talking about. Now me, I can function. I just tell you to move or I move. But you, from the time you were little you were sensitive. And every single time you complained, somebody told you to shut up. You didn't like your eggs? Shut up. You didn't like the fish? Shut up. You didn't like the fluorescent lights? The color of the walls? The nylon blanket? Shut up.

You tell that to a little kid, it becomes a monster inside. Now that child is an adult, now he or she has two problems. One, you're precocious and sensitive, and that's a gift. And two, you're enraged. BOTH of them destroy the liver. And that makes you environmentally challenged BEYOND environmentally challenged.

RADICAL SOLUTIONS FOR DRUG ADDICTION, Show #441

What's your op**te level? Why aren't we measuring the level of available op**tes when we get our physicals?

What's the concept here? The concept is that if we don't do that, we're all going to end up on antidepressants and anxiety meds. I'm doing this show because I'm overwhelmed by the number of people coming in on these meds. Because the day Huxley predicted has come--the way we process our emotional world is through the filter of prescription drugs. We're an experiment for pharmaceutical engineers who want to play dice with our lives.

When you're at the crisis of your life--the heavy stuff that happens--you can make a case for meds, and it's not a bad choice. When you're going off the deep end, when you just can't function--who's going to argue the stuff?

Our process comes down to two choices--you take the drug or you look to the holistic model. Almost invariably in these crises, people take the bullet, they go on the drug.

Why are more people are going on meds? One reason is the disappearance of the eco-system. What do you think happens to you as we lay down more concrete and mow down more trees? That tree regulated you. How many of you grew up in a place filled with grass and trees and nature? And now, when you go back to that neighborhood, everything's gone?

How does this translate into therapy? If you or family members are on meds and trying to get off, get out of this toxic dumpsite. This is why I call this show "Radical." Holistic medicine has solutions that are lies. They have first-base approaches. I've supervised people through dozens of different types of holistic solutions--IV's, for example. And these solutions don't work. Against this rising tide of anxiety and depression, what can we do radically speaking--radical within the realm of feasible?

You know what's radical--if you or your kids are on drugs and you want out--put psychological health on the A List. Treat it like your rent. Do the things you gotta do.

One of the radical things you can put on the A List is diving into cold water. There's a million people saying no, no, no--you could drown! A shark could eat you! You see, anything that can give you life, can give you death. Do it under supervision, with intelligence, with a group.

I just came from the ocean, and no one is in it! Where are all the 70 and 80 year olds? Why aren't they out there paddleboarding? The institutions want you to sit there and rot. They give you a hundred reasons you could fail when you try to do something for your health.

Here's another idea. Move. Pick up and move! Move to where the terrain will allow you to connect to what makes your OWN chemicals. You have the ability to make those chemicals. If you live in America, you're a transplant. Most people didn't start here in LA., in a dry, hot climate. Maybe the last 30,000 years of your heritage didn't live like that. Maybe you lived on the coast of Sweden, in the jungle, on an island. Don't you think that would impact you?

Get your rear end out of where you live if it doesn't "match" how you evolved. And now they're trying to hogwash you and tell you your depression is in your genetics. All I ask is for you to listen, and then do something.

Here's another idea. Get some sort of a health practice that gives you as much bliss as falling in love. Get a health practice that gives you that feeling. It could be yoga. The water. Mountains. Do not call it a hobby. Flush your hobbies down the toilet. Get a health practice. Unless your hobby gives you enough endorphin to shift your physiology and keep you out of anxiety and off those drugs--then keep doing it! But most people I see have these little diddly-squat hobbies that don't do anything. Find a health practice that you do regularly that brings your endorphins to the moon.

Here's another one. Make sleep ROYAL. Sleep on the earth. Carve out a piece of your backyard and throw down a yurt or a teepee. Or go camping. Get away from radiation. Your average city is a dome of radiation. What used to be a dome of smog is now a dome of electromagnetics.

Look at things they way they are, and find solutions. That's what I call optimism--finding solutions and not sweeping problems under the rug. --Dr Vincent Medici, Show 441

A few quotes and notes from Dr Medici's recent talk on Digestion & Food

"Digestion is a negotiation with your villi. When your villi are screwed up, so is your brain. Keep the villi happy."

"I don't know what mook invented salad, but traditional cultures didn't do salad. The fiber irritates the villli. The villi want the big O, not the grand mal seizure."

"People listen to the authorities about food, but you don't need to understand food so much as you need to FEEL your experience. What food gives you deep, bodily satisfaction? Find the foods that blow your skirt up. Food should drop in, disappear, and make you feel good. It should not bloat, create gas, heart burn, fatigue or constipation. Evolve a sense of craving. Intellect is good only to bring you to that moment of cravings for food that you digest perfectly."

"Flavor enhancers destroy the palate--you may have to fast and purge your body to clean it. Otherwise you'll get a piece of ass-meat at the diner and think it's filet mignon."

"Nothing concentrates nutrient like meat. At the same time, traditional cultures didn't do an EXCESS of meat... And the less it's cooked, the better."

"Sometimes fad-food book writers are making their choices because they are under 50. You can eat anything under 50."

"Depleting your self through a deficiency diet --for someone who is hormonally strong can be good if they're in excess. Are you in excess or deficiency?"

"Any fat in a bottle is a waste. Get an oil press and make it yourself or eat the food. Some fats are medicinal. Flax oil is one of them, coconut is another. "

FIVE Radical Things to Do to Improve COGNITIVE FUNCTION
Dr Medici, Show 403

The things most people do that they think will give them radiant health just don’t cut it. That doesn’t mean these things don’t help. But everyone is coded, predisposed to things that ultimately are what they’ll get sick from.

And so you ask what can I do about it? Isn’t nutrition part of this? Can’t I do a cleanse? Yes, of course you can. But against the ravage of time and your genetic predisposition, when you start coming down with that disease, supplements and the typical cleanses won’t help much. That’s why I call this radical health. However, nobody wants to get radical! And when you stick to the things you can do WITHOUT getting radical it doesn’t cut it. It doesn’t work.

Most people that come in and ask for help at early onset of a disease, any disease—Lupus, schleraderma, joint replacement, you name it—they want a CURE. They don’t want to just be helped. They want to know that the money and time they put in will CURE them.

And sometimes doctors will see people do the impossible, and do what no one thought they could do and heal. But what do those people have in common? They got RADICAL! That’s the truth.

So let’s proceed on clear terms. We want to understand the contract here. If you want a contract to cure your disease, you have to get radical.

What are the TOP FIVE THINGS you can do to improve cognitive function--Alzheimer’s, general senility, a memory that’s slowed up?

1. You have to regulate your insulin and your blood sugar. You eat too many carbs; your blood sugar is too high—and THAT’S a killer. High insulin, product of high blood sugar, is a pro-inflammatory situation. Your tiny blood vessels to the brain start plugging up with fibrin and your brain suffers from a decrease in oxygen and nutrient that it needs. That’s common sense, right? Your doctor tells you that you don’t have diabetes—but that’s not what I’m talking about. Keep your blood sugar under 100 all the time--when you get up in the morning, one hour after you eat… Keep your glycated hemoglobin less than 5. Regulate your blood sugar. Become a little more ketogenic—though I hate to use that term now. Know what it is to function in a regulated state. Know the joy, the pleasure of living with those numbers under 100. There’s a distinct difference, a feeling in your body. When your insulin is too high, you feel sticky. You feel plugged up, congested. Don’t live like that. This is sensory. This is something you’ve got to feel. Now, why do I call that radical? Go find people who live that way. The ketogenic state is not a fad. It’s going to be around forever. It doesn’t matter whether you’re vegetarian, meat eater, raw or cooked--it doesn’t matter. Make sure your glycated hemoglobin is under 5.

2. Listen to any of my shows on stretching, head trauma, the cranial rhythms—get cohesion, dynamic motion, between your occipital bone and your first and second vertebrae. This is what you lose as you age. Take a look at your wedding picture and take a look at where your head and neck are now from the side. See how far that head shifted forward. Learn to stretch those places out so that you get a good feeling, a release, some sense of relaxation—it means you’re opening up those joint spaces. Once you lose motion in that area, you begin to lose brain function. You need that area to function. Listen to shows 243 and 244 about stretching. Stretching is an art form. Get sophisticated. Master the isolations. An isolation is an advanced form of stretching. You really have to work for it, apply yourself. The entire profession of chiropractic is devoted to opening up those joints, the upper cervical area. You ought to be giving enormous focus to this area on your own, every day of your life.

3. Inversion table and headstand use gravity to bring blood to the brain. I don’t recommend headstand to a lot of people because you have to TRAIN to do it correctly. So, an inversion table in the interest of having a response that you can DISCERN. You need to have an experience with that table where it would be over your dead body that you’d let someone take that table away from you. Have an experience on it every day. If you don’t have a discernible experience and you feel nothing, then you’re doing it wrong. What kind of discernible experience? Like, your brain clears up. Like your mind is sharper; your memory better. An experience that no one can take away from you.

4. Learn to get the heart rate over 130, 140, 150, 160 for 30 second intervals for half hour three days per week. There’s no getting away from intensity in exercise. There are so many wonderful ways to do this. But what people do wrong is that they “check out” of their bodies when they exercise. They watch TV; they read the paper. It’s so disrespectful to the whole intention of it. You have to TRAIN to get to the point where you can do something radical.

5. Learn to water fast so that your body, your cells, will push out the garbage that’s clogging your brain. Fast to induce autophagy. You can’t think straight because your brain cells aren’t getting nutrition. STARVE the brain, starve the body of glucose to induce autophagy.

Early scientists were alchemists; they were spiritual. Physical chemists such as Gibbs were spiritualists. The entire science was founded on what you NOTICED, and then using this knowledge even if you didn't know how it worked. Empiricism is not the scientific method, so we deny powerful solutions because they're empirical. -Dr Vincent Medici, Longevity Workshop 12/30/18
