I am deeply saddened to hear that our Paramaguru Sharath Jois has unexpectedly passed away. I’m so grateful that I got to practice with him in the last year, even his recent visit to Virginia for the Active Series introduction. He spoke of how peaceful it was to be in jn Virginia and enjoyed the birds that greeted him in the morning by his window.
He will be truly missed… My deepest condolences to his family and those closest to him. 😞🙏🏼🌹🤍
Here is a post that I haven’t shared yet after his visit to Miami. I learned so much from his presence. 🙏🏼❤️💐
I have discovered within lives a depth of stability, an anchor, a firm foundation that I can root to anytime. Along with the awareness of breath that leads, there is a choice always available:
To choose love or to push past, ignore.
The Ashtanga Yoga method teaches that the only real choice is loving kindness, becoming more aware in the present. There is an unending depth, an inner teacher, teaching us how, residing within and ready for us to choose. It seems simple but takes courage to choose love in our words, thoughts, and actions. It’s how we find freedom and everlasting peace from the bo***ge of the mind that is often held us captive for far too long.
This awareness to choose coupled with service to others and we have the ingredients for walking the path of Yoga.
I am grateful for this opportunity that has shined light into my heart, each day softening and healing the darkness, bringing restoration, peace and joy; a smile from within.
Humbled and grateful to for being the Guru - Dispeller of darkness, leading and shining that light so that we may see the path with more clarity. ☀️👁️
Thank you to the organizers and assistants for holding space for the practice. 🙏🏼💐

And my husband for believing in me, always. ❤️🙏
