As we all spend more time hitting the beaches and pools this summer, it is important to understand how to be water competent. This means having basic swimming skills, knowledge, and awareness in and out of the water.

An example of water competency is being able to recognize dry drowning, which includes signs and symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing and/or irregular breathing, and trouble speaking.

If you or someone you know experiences these symptoms, it is important to seek medical attention right away. Check out https://hubs.ly/Q01gYrK80 for more information on how to spot dry drowning and other symptoms of drowning, so you can have a safe and fun time in the water this summer.

The month of June is a great time to focus on creating a positive attitude around men’s health, especially when it comes to preventive care. According to a study from the Cleveland Clinic, 40 percent of men only go to the doctor when they’re having a serious health issue. Many of whom view routine healthcare as a sign of weakness.

It's never too early to start making your healthcare a priority. Yearly physicals and checkups could be the key factor in catching health issues before it’s too late.

No matter how old you are, it’s vital to visit your healthcare provider. Read more about different health issues that men should be concerned about at each stage of life and ways to focus on preventive care on our blog at https://hubs.ly/Q01cXNT80.

Establishing actions for your employees to create lifelong habits and foundations is the core of improving mental wellbeing. Once your employees have an understanding of their wellbeing needs through the Mindyra Health Survey, the next step is understanding how to address them.

Our actionable WellBalance program, Focus5, is a 5-week program designed to help individuals focus their energy on the specific areas that they believe are key to improving their mental wellbeing. Each week is spent reflecting and journaling about stressors or obstacles in the specific focus area. Individuals are then prompted to create weekly goals to overcome those stressors and obstacles before moving on to the next focus area. Our Wholesome Habits program that follows will allow you to apply your findings to create new daily healthy habits that you can track over time.

Accountability and commitment are key to putting wellbeing into action.

Today we officially celebrate Earth Day 2022, but every day is a great opportunity to bring awareness to what makes our planet beautiful.

Transportation is the largest source of air pollution across the globe. One way to cut down on carbon dioxide emissions is riding a bike over driving a car when possible. Cycling is also the perfect physical and mental health boost on a Spring day.

Park the car and hop on your bike for a leisurely ride, a quick trip down the road, or even a new way to work. Ride safely and keep our planet beautiful. https://hubs.ly/Q018GzhX0
