After complications from sciatica and congestive heart failure left Keshia Stirgus using a wheelchair, she turned to home health to help regain her strength and independence. With her wedding vow renewal approaching, Keshia was determined to reach one special goal of walking down the aisle. 💍

With the support of her physical therapist assistant, Keshia made incredible progress toward her goal. And when the special day arrived, she didn’t just walk down the aisle. She danced! 💃

Today we are celebrating the remarkable legacy of Chris Sorensen and extending our heartfelt condolences to the Sorensen family. Chris' devotion to his family and commitment to helping others led he and his wife Puschel Sorensen to establish the Eric Sorensen Motor Speech Program at Brooks Rehabilitation. Because of their generosity, individuals living with motor speech disorders have been given the opportunity to reconnect, communicate and thrive.

We are deeply grateful to the Sorensen family for entrusting Brooks with this important work and for the profound difference they have made in the lives of so many. Chris' legacy is one of kindness, family and unwavering commitment to helping others. It is a legacy that will continue to inspire and transform lives for generations to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sorensen family during this time. ❤️
