Nature, Wildlife, Native Americans, travel, history, music, these are my interest. My Mom’s family had many artists. My great aunt, Mary Kathrine Loyacono McCravey was a big influence in my life. In 2004 she was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for art by the State of Mississippi she had a studio in her house, and it was unique experience to have that kind exposure to a professional artist. She and other Mississippi Artists such as William Dunlap, so I always felt connected to the art of Mississippi. In 2000, I was awarded Outstanding Student in Drawing and Painting at Mississippi University for Women. After graduation my main goal was to continue painting. I returned to school for education and taught school the 2003-04 year, then graduate school for Art Therapy in 2005-2008. Upon returning home I found a renewed interest in southern culture, and I rededicated myself to art. From 2014-present I participated in several art festivals, open call shows in Starkville, several solo shows, several group shows, and I was invited to do a speech on Native Americans in art for the Daughters of the American Revolution. I have had the opportunity to teach and do art with people of various ages. My goal in art is to keep investigating the themes I love, and to seek out new opportunities to share my art with like minded people and the public at large.
