Every effort needs a good motivator, and nothing’s better at motivating than your own clear goal 🥅
I often use SMART goals to help our clients achieve their overall, long-term health goal 🗣✨So today I’ll set my own goal for this upcoming month of March 💪🏼
My long-term goal is to be more active 🏃♀️ but that is way too broad and vague - making me uncertain where to start 😱
Instead, I break it down to smaller pieces:
S: I will start running next week, rather than having no plan for what exercise I’ll try
M: I will run for 30 minutes a day, so I can time myself and mark my completion
A: I will initially run for 3 days per week, since this is my first week and I want to complete the challenge I set for myself
R: I will run to increase my physical activity level, which is my long-term goal
T: I will try to run for the month of March
So what’s my SMART goal in one sentence? To be more active, I’ll try running for 30 minutes per day, three days per week within March ❤️
And as I make my progress, I can adjust my goal, maybe increase frequency to 5 days a week or timeframe for 6 months.
With this in mind, what’s your SMART goal 💪🏼🥅
