Do you know how important it is to have a healthy gut microbiome? Too little or too much of the good or bad bacteria that lives in our gut can cause a multitude of problems. Some problems, you would never think could stem from your gut. My friends at .guru know what they’re doing when it comes to creating products to enhance your gut flora, like this biome beauty. 💕 Plus, they are super smart and I learn something from almost every post they make.

Picked up my first box from today😃

I’ve always been hesitant to order produce boxes with the fear of not using all the produce. Mitch was gifted a box from a contractor he works with. I’m challenging myself this week to cook us all of the fresh goodies I picked up today. Follow along in my stories to see how I use them and swipe to see my first creation: a spring mix salad with cucumbers, tomato, fresh grated Parmesan, S&P and lemon pepper. Top with your favorite dressing and a protein and you’ve got yourself a meal. 👍🏻

Mitch bought me a Vitamix for my birthday (best boyfriend, ever!!) and I’ve been on a smoothie kick ever since. Plus, being that it’s finals week in nursing school, it’s been super convenient to get in some nutrients while cramming. 🥴

Strawberry Banana Vanilla Protein Smoothie
•Handful of frozen organic strawberries (I buy the off brand from Walmart)
•Half a frozen banana (if you aren’t freezing your bananas for smoothies, get on it. Makes it so much creamier!)
• Garden of Life organic whey vanilla protein powder
• siggi's Vanilla Greek Yogurt
• Vital Proteins Collagen Powder (optional but why wouldn’t you)
• Almond Milk or whatever liquid you’d like

Blend and top with chia seeds and granola for a crunch. I lo0o0ve to top mine with Bear Naked Granola white chocolate macadamia nut granola 🤤

The only thing that excites me about this Mardi Gras season is the fact I had an excuse to get this. 😋🎭

If you live in Lafayette or surrounding areas, check out Heather with Her tarts and macaroons are easily the best desert I’ve ever ate AND she makes all of her desserts with almond flour!

Looking forward to my future orders with her and the ability to go get macaroons whenever my heart desires at her soon-to-come store front!

📣LAFAYETTE📣Do yourself a favor and go buy asparagus and quinoa. Personally, I think it should be called the green goddess bowl because it’s full of greens. There’s asparagus, zucchini, green onion, pistachios, quinoa and mint in there. It’s refreshing, filling and can be served as a meal or side dish. I made a salad out of it today for by mixing it with romaine and arugula and topped it with a balsamic glaze.

Not in Lafayette? Their newest location in Youngsville opens in less than two months 🙌🏻
