We left IFEBP with a lot of appreciation for the union trustees and fund administrators protecting benefits for their members and families.

A few themes came up again and again:

1. They’re proud of the benefits they’ve built for members and their families, and want trusted partners to help them with sustainable ways to protect them.
2. AI and technology is helping pharmacy benefit managers catch errors and speed up approvals. But it can still miss what's making health hard.
3. Funds are looking to partners to see members as people, not their diagnosis, to build the trust that turns coverage into care.

Dr. Jennifer Musick and BeneCard PBF’s Dr. Jennifer Fuhrmann-Berger shared how LiveLife brings pharmacy expertise, pharmacist-led health coaching, and wellbeing support together. Our partnership helps funds connect prescription benefits with practical support for managing conditions, building healthier habits, and reducing the risk of costly complications.

LiveLife builds on Navigate’s proven approach: 56% of coaching members improved their A1c risk, and 36% of condition management coaching members resolved high-risk factors.

Fertility, maternity, return-to-work, caregiving, perimenopause, menopause....

Before we build solutions, we use insights to understand what members want, need, and are ready to act on now. When we built our Women's Health Coaching solution, the insights showed us that women's health rarely fits into a simple, predefined stage.

The employee who needs your diabetes program thinks they’re fine.

You have the benefit. They haven’t found a reason to use it.

That’s where Navigate works well: helping people recognize their risk and take the next step with your benefits.

Jim Barclay explains how we activate the movable middle: people whose health can still change direction.

Does your women’s health strategy include heart health?

Fertility, pregnancy, and menopause deserve support. So do the health risks that develop between and across those stages.

In this clip, Navigate’s Dr. Jen Musick raises a question for employers: How are we helping women understand and address their cardiovascular risk?

For HR and wellbeing leaders, a practical place to start is your existing wellbeing program:
• Is preventive care part of your women’s health communication?
• When a screening identifies a risk, who helps the employee take the next step?
• Are resources connected so women can find support as their needs change?

A women’s health strategy should help employees understand their risks and act earlier, throughout their lives.

A five-minute conversation can give employees a reason to trust you and a place to start.

Andrew Mettille, Polk County’s Employee Wellness & Development Coordinator, shares his best advice for fellow coordinators: be seen.

Hear how everyday conversations and showing up where employees are help build trust in the wellbeing program.

Your wellness coordinator hears things that don’t always make it into a leadership review.

“My cholesterol went down.”
“My back is starting to feel better.”
“Can you help me find the right support?”

For Polk County’s Andrew Mettille, those conversations help explain what the organization’s investment in wellbeing means to employees.

His advice for leaders: hear employees' perspectives alongside the numbers.

At your next program review, ask your wellness coordinator: What are employees telling you that we should hear, too?

Open enrollment has a deadline. Employee follow-through needs a plan.

The questions you’re hearing now can help shape what happens next. Support employees can’t find. Care they’re worried about affording. Benefits they’re unsure how to use.

Bring those insights to your next conversation with your wellbeing partner:
“What have you learned about our employees? What should we change in the next 90 days?”

In this clip, Navigate strategic advisor Matt Percia explains how to choose two or three priorities, focus on progress in the next 30, 60, and 90 days, and share early wins with employees and leadership.

Start with one employee need. Ask your partner for one practical change, clarity on what its team will own, and one meaningful measure of progress.

Because choosing a benefit and getting help from it are two different milestones. Your wellbeing program can help connect them.

“This was my first time attending the screening.”

After six years with Polk County, a 29-year-old employee started participating in challenges and attended a screening through the county’s wellbeing program. A finding prompted her to follow up with her doctor and led to an early thyroid cancer diagnosis.

In an email to Employee Wellness & Development Coordinator Andrew Mettille, she shared her gratitude and described getting answers to symptoms she had brushed aside.

It’s one employee’s story. And it shows why helping people take that first step can matter so much.

Watch Drew share her experience in this clip.

An employee can be connected to their work and still feel completely disconnected at work.

Full calendars do not create belonging. More meetings do not create community. And a once-a-year team event does not create lasting connection.

Connection is built through everyday experiences:
· A manager who makes someone feel seen
· A colleague who recognizes an overlooked contribution
· A shared experience that brings different teams together
· A workplace that values people beyond their performance

That is why social wellbeing belongs in every employee wellbeing strategy.

Across Navigate’s 2025 book of business, 43% of participants improved their social connection. It is a reminder that connection can be intentionally supported and meaningfully improved.
