I love it when a client comes in for a fit test after their first round of sessions with me. They’re usually worried there won’t be much change. But that virtually never happens because my program is that effective even if you don’t give me 💯. Joey came in this morning and blew his fit test out of the water. He nearly tripled all his reps. Stronger, faster, more endurance. Better recovery time. While everyone’s body is different and each fit test will not look the same, whether you’re doing 4 weeks, 6 weeks or 8 weeks with me- you will see results. And each round, the results will continue. But day 1 is the most important day. Because it’s the day you decide you’re ready to get healthier. Start anywhere, and repeat every day. You deserve to live life in a body that feels good. If you want some help getting started, hit me up. I have group sessions for the ladies and private one on one sessions available for both men and women, in person or virtually. Let’s see your results in 4 weeks, or 6-12 weeks.

I’m running on fumes today after barely getting in 3 hrs of sleep last night. Normally I have no problem sleeping anywhere, at any time. But some changes in my daily routine have left me wide awake far into the night lately. I still did my early AM workout though. Good sleep is essential to progress in the gym though, so much so that I say “sleep is part of the program”. So when is it ok to workout sleep deprived and when should you not? Here’s a good rule of thumb to work with: 1. Sleep is important but so is maintaining your routine. One night of sleeplessness shouldn’t have to impact your routine. But chronic sleep deprivation is another matter altogether. Skip the gym if this has been going on multiple nights in a row. 2. Being tired from missing a full 6-8 hrs of sleep is not the same kind of tiredness as emotional and mental exhaustion caused from environmental stressors. Stick to the routine if it’s just not enough sleep last night. You can always take a nap later in the day. Skip the gym if you’re sleep deprived from mental and emotional challenges. Exercise is good for your physical and mental health, but not at the cost of your mental health- like the kind the comes with sleep deprivation from environmental stresses. In this case, getting enough sleep is more important than exercise. Listen to your body. Remember, fitness is about loving your body not about punishing it. ❤️🫶🏼
