If you feel like your healthcare has turned into a corporate assembly line, this new data proves it. A recent report from the Physicians Advocacy Institute found that 82% of all practicing physicians in the United States are now employed by a corporate entity.

Even more alarming are the specific pressures these corporate doctors admitted to facing behind closed doors:
• 59% feel pressured to keep patients strictly within their health system.
• 63% face corporate barriers to referring patients out of network.
• 47% are pressured to prioritize the volume of patients over optimal care.
When medicine is driven by corporate revenue instead of patient outcomes, the exam room changes.

Shorter visits mean things get missed. Referrals are sent to whoever keeps the money in-house instead of the best specialist for your specific condition. And the patient almost never knows these pressures even exist.
This is exactly why I chose to step outside the corporate matrix to focus entirely on private lab analysis. You deserve a medical advocate who looks at your unique cellular data, not an insurance company's volume spreadsheet.

An urgent update on Henry:

He is currently on his way back to Des Moines from the veterinary ophthalmologist in Cedar Rapids.

The doctor found that Henry’s corneas were critically close to perforating. Because it was so urgent, they took him straight into surgery to reconstruct his corneas and save his eyes. If we had waited and they perforated, he would have lost his eyes completely.

The surgeon is very hopeful that his eye issues may largely be resolved after he recovers, but his post-op care is going to be intense.

Starting tomorrow, he requires:
• Eye drops 6 times a day
• A second eye drop 4 times a day
• Eye ointment 4 times a day
• 3 oral medications
• Strict kennel rest (leash walk only for potty breaks)
• Wearing an e-collar for the next 2 weeks
• Follow-up appointments in 7 days, and again 21 days after that
We are incredibly grateful his sight can be saved, but it is still a waiting game.

The emergency surgery and specialized care costs are heavy. If you are able to help cover his emergency procedure/post op care, please use the live link below. Every share and donation means the world to me and the Team at Rescue Rehab Rehome for little 4 month old Henry getting a second chance at life!!! See the pinned comment for his pictures. Thank you!!

The mainstream medical system is experiencing a crisis of authority, and their response is telling. A recent article suggests that the shift toward patient-led decision-making has gone too far, implying that a return to clinical paternalism is necessary.

But let’s look at why patients became autonomous in the first place.

As we covered in Parts 1, 2, and 3, conventional medicine is structurally optimized for institutional metrics, capitation margins, and volume. When the system rewards keeping chronic diagnoses on paper to maximize HCC risk-adjustment scores, patient trust naturally erodes.

True informed consent isn’t about a doctor making a decision for you under the guise of protection. It requires breaking down the actual data so you understand the precise benefit and burden of any intervention.

If you don't want to be a pawn to the system or the doctors who work for it, the path forward is clear: get yourself metabolically healthy.

Each of you holds the power to reverse disease and radically improve your own health. It starts with the foundational inputs that institutional medicine completely overlooks: ancestral diet, functional exercise, restorative sleep, circadian light management, daily sunshine, and grounding.

When you take control of your lifestyle, you don't need paternalism. You need data and autonomy.

In Part 1, we looked at how traditional Fee-for-Service rewards volume and sick care over true wellness.

In Part 2, we covered how Medicare Advantage middlemen double-dip on monthly payments using your specific codes.

Today, in Part 3, we are answering a critical question from a listener: Why are inaccurate or completely outdated diagnoses still stuck on my patient portal?

The truth is, conventional clinics are trapped in the HCC automated data loop. Because chronic diagnosis codes must be re-certified every single calendar year to keep insurance payouts high, Electronic Health Record (EHR) software is programmed to aggressively pull forward old problem lists. When rushed providers click "accept all" to clear bureaucratic alerts and keep the bills moving, inaccurate codes get locked back onto your record for another 12 months.

Leaving these "ghost diagnoses" on your chart can negatively impact secondary insurance eligibility and long-term care rates.

When your Medicare Annual Wellness Exam comes around, print off your portal list of diagnoses and discuss with your doctor which ones can be removed/NOT RECERFIED!

In this video, I explain:

The Double-Dip: How a clinic bills insurance for a standard office visit while simultaneously receiving a separate, monthly capitated check from a third-party middleman.

HCC Coding: How monthly government payments scale based on a patient's documented chronic illness codes and Risk Adjustment Factor.

Care Gaps: How routine screening checklists impact a clinic's quality metrics, Star Ratings, and physician compensation when a patient exercises autonomy and declines a procedure.

What are you going to do with this information? Get healthy and get rid of your diagnosis?

Let's discuss that in Part 3, where we will cover why these codes remain on your medical record and impact your secondary insurance eligibility. Drop your thoughts below.

Homocysteine is an inflammatory amino acid produced naturally as your body processes proteins. Think of it like a metabolic byproduct or a piece of cellular "exhaust."

When your body is functioning optimally, it quickly clears or recycles homocysteine so it can't accumulate. However, when it builds up in the blood, it acts like liquid sandpaper, chronically irritating and injuring the smooth inner lining of your arteries (the endothelium). This microscopic damage triggers an inflammatory response, forcing your body to deploy cholesterol to plaster over the cuts—leading to the plaque buildup associated with strokes, heart attacks, and cognitive decline.

High levels usually signal a breakdown in your cellular recycling systems, often caused by B-vitamin deficiencies, genetic bottlenecks (like the MTHFR gene), or dietary amino acid imbalances.

I am going to break down this entire pathway—from methionine and SAM-e to B-vitamins, carnivore diets, and muscle meat traps. Join my livestream this Saturday at 9:00 AM Central where we will go deep into the science and how to protect your arteries!

Most people freak out when their creatinine levels go up, and they are immediately told to cut out red meat. But this ignores basic renal physiology.

The number one cause of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is not protein; it is diabetes, insulin resistance, and hypertension driven by ultra-processed foods and the Standard American Diet (SAD).

Chronically high blood sugar and insulin stiffen and destroy the delicate filtering units (glomeruli) of the kidneys.
Furthermore, serum creatinine is a flawed marker for people on low-carb, animal-based diets. Eating a high amount of muscle meat introduces exogenous creatine, which naturally converts to creatinine in the blood and falsely elevates lab values without indicating actual structural kidney damage.

To get a true, unbiased measurement of kidney function (eGFR), patients should request a Cystatin C test, which is unaffected by diet or muscle mass.
