Why do we say we’re sorry for things that aren’t our fault?

It’s like we could’ve prevented whatever happened from happening in the first place.

And that’s just ludicrous (not to be confused with the rapper, Ludacris 😆).

How many times have you said “I’m sorry….” and the other person responds by telling you it isn’t your fault?

🥴

Next time, try saying “I wish…” instead.

“I’m sorry you’re going through this..” —> “I wish you weren’t going through this.”

“I’m sorry that happened to you.” —> “I wish that didn’t happen to you.”

“I’m sorry you’re in pain.” —> “I wish you weren’t in pain.”

You still get to acknowledge what the person is saying without subconciously taking on blame.

So I’m not much of a social media person as you can probably tell from my lack of posting.

Whenever I go to post I start going into a perfectionist mindset.

And since there really is no way to be “perfect,” I just end up not posting or posting veryyyyyy rarely.

So I’m embracing that.

Look forward to unplanned, unfiltered, random posts about various things 😅

When useful nuggets come up as the team works on complex health cases, I’ll try and remember to pass them along.

It can be hard to believe you can do something when you have no evidence to prove it.

Or evidence proving the opposite of what you want.

You might need to ‘fake it' at first to build evidence to believe.

Imposter syndrome is no joke 🥴

‘I’m not good enough’

‘I don’t deserve X’

‘I feel like a fraud’

I know external validation won’t change this feeling (tried this 😑)

Two things that helped me are ⬇️

1. I started focusing on my results

2. I stopped comparing myself to others

The fraud feeling started to go away when I did both.

I felt beat up

I left a lymphedema patient visit in 2017
and I could barely walk. The patient looked and moved like she was 20 years younger after the hour we spent together.

With no idea what had just happened. I went to a friend of mine who is a DC and he did not have any answers for me.

That same week I received a flyer for Natural Grocers classes and it mentioned energy healing for healthcare workers.

This was not a coincidence. So I went.

Dr Jeff Potts was explaining all my symptoms and how it was related to having life force energy depleted and how to have a strong healthy energetic field to prevent this from happening.

I had no idea at the time what empathic meant, prana or energy healing etc.

Pranic healing gave me the missing link to improve my physical symptoms and the teachings to live a more aligned and prosperous life.

Oops guilty 😬

I’ve probably ridden this roller coaster of a graph so many times you’d think I’d learn.

But this is a natural brain bias (aka cognitive bias).

Basically, once you learn something, you think you understand it and are “confident” with the subject until experience teaches you otherwise.

Then when reality hits, it feels like you don’t really know anything anymore and lose all confidence.

This is where skill development REALLY begins.

The ‘Valley of Dispair’ is hard, uncomfortable, and tedious.

And this is where most people give up.

Consistency is key here.

Confidence is a side effect of staying consistent and persevering.

Here’s the thing:

When one is experienced, they consistently underestimate their abilities. So remember to give yourself some grace.

On the flip side, when one is first learning, they overestimate their abilities.

One of my business coaches gave me this tip:

Try to avoid saying, “I already know this.”

There’s always something more to learn.

I have found that for most people the lead up to doing something is worse than actually doing it.

We second guess, we jump to worst case scenario's, we fear failure or success...

Which creates mental and emotional turmoil.

In my experience, relief occurs after action.

Opening yourself up to new experiences can stimulate your brain in a way that can help it to adapt to new environments.

Getting involved in activities that you haven’t had the chance to enjoy but have always wanted to do, can also do wonders for your mental health.

When I started one of my first businesses, I thought everything had to be right according to what was expected of me.

In other words perfect.

Perfect in the eyes of my clients.

Perfect in the eyes of my colleagues.

Perfect in the eyes of the industry.

That led to a lot of time wasted figuring everything out.

Come to find out people only care about what I could do for them, not what it took to get there.

Focus on helping and the rest will fall into place.

Realizing that people value different things has been huge in understanding how to run a service based business.

Figuring out what someone values vs. assuming they value what I value has allowed me to have better client outcomes and will allow me to help more people.

Value is in the "eye of the beholder".

It's unique for every person.

This small insight can make a huge difference for your services when engaging clients and customers.

It’s human nature to crave certainty and stability in our lives. That’s why resistance to change is such a big challenge for most people. This is especially unnerving when the change is something that is unpleasant or unexpected.
In this full moon lecture and meditation, Master Co shares an ancient Taoist story he first learned in his youth that has helped him embrace change in a positive and empowering way.
“Maybe” the immediate change is a temporary pain to learn certain lessons that will help us avoid making bigger more tragic mistakes in the future. It could also be a prelude for something much better in our overall spiritual evolution.
By understanding change from the viewpoint of the Soul, we can take a step back from the situation to give us a broader perspective. Maybe things aren’t happening to you and maybe they are happening for you.
Change can be a powerful tool if we can learn to see that everything happening in our lives can be utilized to empower us to be better.

I used to go to a chiropractor 1-3 times a week for YEARS.

I lived with near constant neck pain that started after I got injured playing soccer in high school.

I would go to the chiropractor and get relief from the pain… only for it to come back hours to days later.

The adjustments just wouldn’t last.

The bones in my neck would just continue to move back out of alignment no matter how many times I got them adjusted 😑

In 2017, I started learning more about meditation and energy healing techniques.

Funny thing is I wasn’t learning them to help relieve the neck pain…

… but something very interesting happened.

The chiropractic adjustments started to hold for longer periods of time 😮

That is when I realized there is a connection between physical pain and stress/trauma energy stuck in the body.

The chiropractor was addressing the physical symptom, but wasn’t eliminating the energetic component.

As I started working on the pain from an energetic standpoint, I started having longer and longer periods of time between chiropractic adjustments until finally I stopped going altogether.

If you deal with chronic pain are you looking at it from multiple angles?

Not just from a physical point of view, but also from an energetic point of view?
