Man oh man...I see this question at least once a week in esthetician groups. What brand is best for this, that and the third!
Whether you're a provider or consumer I'm here to tell you that you should never be so invested in a name. Things change, ingredient availability changes, CEO's may change and when they do so will efficacy, target audiences, and those interpersonal relationships that were once more small business focused now sell to the public.
While some skincare treatments like laser and peels fall under a medical category many use the term to create a hierarchy. Even the term medical estheticians isn't a regulated term. When researching treatments or providers lead with words like Licensed because even the use of
"professionally trained" can leave room for a lot to be interpreted especially with so many people providing service that's not in their scope of practice.
I said what was most important in the video. But I must stress the fact that you deserve an unbiased provider in a facility that's focused on YOU for the individual that you are because skin health is not cookie cutter (you will have to go off the beaten path)and when you limit your options based on names and descriptive words you limit your results. You'll know when you've chosen a professional that was chosen for this lifestyle and not one that chose it.
