With the opening of my new practice ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES, the focus is to provide supportive patient care for not only complex diseases and cancer, but also for overall health and vitality. Using my distinct viewpoint based on four decades of clinical experience, I hope to bridge the East/West modalities and offer individualized alternative treatments. While western medical treatment is often an essential for severe diseases, little is available for restorative care to reestablish the body’s balance, harmony and recovery. By adding Japanese acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas, nutritional supplementation and diet as a complement to traditional medicine, the goal is to offer the best of both worlds. Using alternative supportive treatments provides a framework to balance and strengthen the depleted and debilitated body, from treatments like chemo. Other patients recognize that they don’t feel well, and lack energy and vitality, but don’t know what’s wrong. Western Medicine is often left with treating only the most bothersome symptoms. Even after a diagnosis is made, patients sense they are moving down a path toward chronic health issues. But discovering the actual cause is often confusing and hidden from conventional approaches.
