Oh my aching back (or knees, or hips, or legs, or...)
Most times it's NOT AS SIMPLE as treating an area because that's where the pain is felt. Our muscles span across joints to move parts of our body, they layer over the top of or under other muscles and they share attachment points. The psoas is a GREAT EXAMPLE of this pain/problem location CONFUSION. The discomfort is rarely found in it's muscle belly, it is usually felt in the low back, or knees, hips or hamstrings. In these cases, massaging, cupping, scraping, or doing deep tissue on the area of pain won't do a thing to fix the actual problem. In fact, NOT correcting the actual issue can open your body up for injury which will only compound things.
And whether it's tighter than it should be or too lax, the treatment will be different.
So much trouble a little muscle can cause!!

I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Personal Trainer and would LOVE to do the DETECTIVE work to find the source then treat it.
