We believe that every child, adult or senior, no matter their abilities, should be allowed to live a life full of quality and passion. We provide customized therapy for every client to address physical, emotional or social needs. We had a busy summer here at LTS! Our clients were active and engaged, learning new skills and exploring the community. We also had a fieldwork student from Grand Valley State University Recreational Therapy Program this summer who helped our clients work on their goals. We hope everyone enjoys the end of summer!

This year, the GVSU Recreational Therapy program is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In honor of that milestone, we want to spotlight Recreational Therapy alum Kristine Schwab '00.

Kristine is the owner of Life Therapeutic Solutions, a recreation therapy company created in 2006 by Kristine and two former classmates. “We all had the same goal of bringing recreation therapy to the community. We wanted to spend more time with clients than facilities would allow,” Kristine stated. In 2016, Kristine became the sole owner of the company.

Kristine describes her time at GVSU as hands-on, inspiring, and memorable. From an adaptive ropes course adventure to experience with field work that prepared her for every aspect of the workforce. “When I graduated, I was prepared to apply for jobs in physical rehab, community, skilled, and mental health. I was confident in my abilities and knowledge of the field, I was ready!”

Lily is currently a Junior in the Recreational Therapy program at Grand Valley University and will be spending the summer with us learning how we provide services in the home and community space.
