Why did we start with her cheeks when one of our concerns was her nasolabial folds?

Because we treat the cause first - not just the fold. ✨

As we lose volume through the midface, the cheek loses some of its support. This can contribute to a heavier transition into the nasolabial fold and can also make the under-eye area appear more hollow.

For this client, I first restored strategic volume through the cheeks to replace some of that lost support. Look closely at the after - her cheeks have more structure, the transition from her under-eye into her cheek is smoother, her under-eyes appear less hollow, and the nasolabial fold is already softened.

Once that support was restored, I used a small amount of filler deeper near the pyriform fossa and then carefully blended the remaining nasolabial fold.

The goal isn’t to ‘fill a line.’ It’s to understand WHY the line is there, restore support where it’s been lost, and then refine what remains.

The result: refreshed, supported and balanced without looking overfilled. 🤍

One of the biggest myths I hear is that Russian lips are more likely to migrate or create a “duck lip” appearance.

In reality, migration has far more to do with technique than the style itself. Knowing the anatomy, choosing the correct plane, and understanding exactly where your needle should be makes all the difference.

Long before I ever picked up a syringe, I was creating with makeup. 🎨

Learning how to blend, create dimension, understand proportions, and use light and shadow to create an illusion taught me more than I ever imagined it would when I became an injector.

Because injecting is an art, too. 💉

It’s not just about where filler is placed, it’s understanding how everything transitions together. How to blend one area into another, enhance proportions, and create results that look seamless and natural.
