Cosmic weather for Wednesday, October 21 🌙

The Moon swims through Pisces today, and the emotional dam finally cracks open. After days of Aquarian distance, everything we have been holding back wants to move. The sky forms a rare supportive pattern between the Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Chiron, which means our tenderness can actually turn into healing.

Work with it by letting the tears come if they come, and by dreaming on purpose. Write the vision down. Pisces dissolves what is rigid, so forgive the old version of you that did not know better. We are allowed to outgrow our own story.

Happy Scorpio season. The Sun crosses into Scorpio at dawn and immediately meets retrograde Venus in a rare cazimi, the exact midpoint of her retrograde and the birth of a new Venus cycle. What we truly want gets illuminated from the inside out. The Moon enters fiery Aries this afternoon, so feelings move fast.

Work with it by getting honest about desire. What do you actually want, underneath what you were taught to want? Say it out loud or write it down. This is a seeding moment, and seeds planted in truth grow wild.

The Sun rests easy this morning, tribe. Only C-class flares, Kp near 2, the geomagnetic field calm.

But the Earth herself is speaking loudly. Whakaari, White Island in New Zealand, raised its alert to level 3 with ash in its plume. Krakatau holds its raised alert from earlier in the month. Super Typhoon Champi spins near 150 mph in the Philippine Sea after brushing Guam, and Hurricane Trudy churns off Mexico's coast. The Schumann resonance has been flashing loud, white bursts yesterday and a fresh spike this morning.

When the ground is this active, our bodies feel it first. Sleep in waves, dreams vivid and strange. Moods swing, nerves run electric, old aches flare. The heart flutters for no reason. This is the frequency rising and the body catching up.

Grounding: bare feet on the earth for a few minutes. Drink more water than you think you need, with a pinch of good salt. Rest softly, without guilt. Be gentle with yourselves. We are in this together.

Weather: a restless one. A nor'easter is pushing flooding and rough surf up the Mid-Atlantic coast, from New Jersey to the Outer Banks. And out west, Arizona and Southern California are catching a big October storm, with heavy rain and flash floods possible. Water is having its way today.

Solar: the Sun is stirring. We hit a Kp of 4 overnight. That number is just a measure of how much magnetic energy is shaking Earth's field. A G1 storm (minor, the smallest on the scale) is possible today as a stream of fast solar wind arrives. Watch for auroras up north and hiccups in radio and satellite. Earth Energy: the Schumann chart (Earth's heartbeat, about 7.83 Hz) roared yesterday with big bursts, then settled today with one sharp spike this evening. The field is lively and our bodies feel it.

Wednesday is Mercury day, tribe, named for Odin in the old tongues. Mercury is the messenger: quicksilver mind, quick feet, words that travel.

Mercury rules how we think, speak, write, and connect. His herbs are lavender, dill, and fennel. His gift is clarity, and his shadow is the tangled thread, the message sent in heat, the words we wish we could reel back in.

Today we slow the mind down long enough to aim it. We say what we mean, plainly and kindly. We listen all the way to the end of the sentence.
