A little full-circle moment! 🧡

Three years ago, I discovered The Well Vb through The Scout Guide Tidewater , booked a massage, and quickly became a regular. It’s been one of my favorite places in Virginia Beach ever since!

So when I had the opportunity to work with Marcela and her amazing team to organize their back-of-house spaces, it felt extra special!

Coming from retail, I know just how important the behind-the-scenes spaces are to creating a great experience out front. From cleaning supplies and inventory to everyday service essentials, we made sure everything had its place!

Here’s a little peek at what we got to organize! ✨

I absolutely loved being able to give back to a place that has brought me so much peace and calm over the years. Thank you, Marcela and the entire Well team, for trusting me with your space! 🧡

P.S. If you haven’t experienced The Well yet, this is your sign to book a service. Tell them Carly sent you! 😉

THE SCOUT IS OUT! 🥂✨

Volume 14 is officially here, and I’m so excited to see CarMELLA Design Studio with a FULL-PAGE ad this year! 🤎

Three years ago, shortly after moving to Virginia Beach, I picked up my first Scout Guide and told Rich, “One day, I’m going to be in this book.”

Last year, I got to check that off the list. This year, we’re back with a FULL-PAGE ad! 🙌

The book is beautiful, but beyond the pages, what I love most is everything that comes with it—the community, the connections, the collaborations, and getting to cheer on so many incredible local businesses doing amazing things right here in Virginia Beach.

Feeling very proud, very grateful, and VERY excited to celebrate Volume 14 with this crew! 🥂

These are the pinch-me moments that make you stop and appreciate just how far you’ve come.

Here’s to dreaming big, setting big goals…and watching them come true.

A place for everything—and spaces that are so much easier to maintain. ✨

We decluttered, reorganized and created simple systems designed around how the kids actually use their rooms.

Mom and Dad loved it so much they said, “Let’s do the rest of the house!” So we’ve now added their bedroom, the kitchen and the garage to the project.

I always say organizing can be a little addicting… once you see how good one space can function, you want that feeling everywhere.

And there may be no better compliment than when one project turns into a whole-house project. 🤎

Swipe through to see the before—and stay tuned for the rest of the house!

Went to NYC for Harry Styles… came home with a camera roll FULL of inspiration. ✨📸

From SoHo to Fifth Avenue, I couldn’t stop looking at the details—the windows, displays, architecture, materials, styling and all the different ways brands bring their stories to life.

I may not work solely in visual merchandising anymore, but after spending so much of my career in retail, that part of my brain will never turn off. And honestly, I don’t want it to.

I’m constantly finding ideas I can bring back to CarMELLA—a color combination, an unexpected material, the way objects are layered or simply a new way of looking at a space.

And this is exactly why I’ll always love shopping in-store. You may walk in to shop, but when it’s done really well, you leave inspired.

NYC, you never disappoint. 🤍

And make sure you swipe ALL the way through—the last photo might just be the most beautiful sky I’ve ever seen. 🌅

Tell me—when you shop, are you looking at the product… or are you studying the space too?

Coffee table books are one of my favorite styling accessories! Not only are they a great way to show off your personality and interests—whether that’s fashion, travel, art, or interiors—but they’re also perfect for creating height, layering objects, and adding color and texture to a space.

And they’re not just for coffee tables! Style them on consoles, nightstands, bookshelves, or anywhere that needs a little something extra.

Swipe through for a little styling inspiration, and check out some of my favorites linked in my Stories and bio!
Happy styling! 🤎

Football season is back and obviously… GO BIRDS! 🦅

This Eagles piece means a little more to me this year.
My grandfather passed away a few years ago, and we lost my grandmother earlier this year. With her passing, it was time for my family to sell my grandparents’ home.

I spent so much of my childhood in that house, often with my dad, who has also since passed. It was rarely quiet—there was usually some Philadelphia sporting event on TV, or we were watching Rocky, The Wizard of Oz or pretty much anything with John Wayne in it. We played endless games of shuffleboard and pool, spent summer days out back by the swimming pool, and gathered for family barbecues and Sunday dinners.

Saying goodbye to that house was emotional for so many reasons.

This eagle sign always hung at the bottom of their stairs for as long as I can remember. I noticed it every time I was there and always loved it.

My grandparents were probably the biggest Philadelphia sports fans I’ve ever known, so I feel incredibly lucky to now have it in my home.

It’s also a reminder of something I tell my clients all the time:

You don’t have to keep everything to hold onto the memories.

Choose a few things that truly mean something to you—the pieces that tell a story and immediately take you back. Something you can proudly display in your home not boxes of stuff shoved in the attic, garage, or storage unit.

A few meaningful pieces can carry a lifetime of memories.

This is one of mine. 💚
