Sunflower Medical Staffing LLC | Portsmouth, VA Area
Sunflower Medical Staffing is looking for a compassionate and reliable DSP to support children with mental health disorders.
Shift: 3PM - 11PM and 7AM -3PM
Location: Portsmouth, VA area - must have reliable transportation
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Experience supporting children / youth with mental health / behavioral health disorders
• Medication Management / Medication Administration certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - required
• Able to pass background check, reference check, and drug screen
• CPR / First Aid certified or willing to obtain
• Dependable, patient, and professional with strong documentation skills
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care and emotional support to children with mental health needs
• Administer medications per certification and care plan
• Assist with daily activities, coping skills, and community engagement
• Transport clients as needed and maintain safety at all times
