At AOS, continuing education is always a priority, even on a rainy Saturday! ☔️

Our offices may be closed today, but that didn't stop our team from coming in for some hands-on cast training! Dr. Rachel Faber joined the training, sharing her expertise and working alongside our staff as they practiced their techniques.

It’s National Physical Therapy Month!

We’re proud to celebrate our incredible AOS physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who help patients regain strength, improve mobility, recover from injury and surgery, and get back to the activities they love.

From helping someone take those first steps after surgery to getting an athlete safely back in the game, our PT team plays an important role in keeping our patients and our community moving.

Helping preserve the orthopaedic care you know and trust.

Medicare has proposed changes for 2027 that would make significant cuts to the reimbursement for some surgeries and many routine treatments in the clinic. Orthopaedic leaders are concerned that these changes could make it more difficult for some practices to continue providing Medicare patients with the same level of access and services they receive today.

In some cases, the proposed changes could also affect the ability to provide multiple services during a single visit, potentially requiring patients to return to the office for additional appointments.

Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists surgeon and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) President Dr. Wilford K. Gibson has been speaking nationally about these concerns and advocating for policies that protect patients’ access to orthopaedic care.

The Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists team will be on the sidelines, supporting the ODU Football team and providing care for the Monarchs throughout the game.

As the Official Orthopaedic Partner of ODU Athletics, we’re proud to care for ODU student-athletes—and to bring that same orthopaedic expertise to patients throughout Hampton Roads.

For more than 100 years, AOS has helped our community stay active, recover from injury, and get back to doing what they love.
