🩺 Future Healthcare Professionals in Action! 🪡

We had an amazing time working with aspiring healthcare professionals during our hands-on Surgical Skills Workshop!

In Part 1, students learned how to properly put on and remove personal protective equipment (PPE) and how these practices help protect patients and healthcare workers.

In Part 2, students put their skills to the test as they explored surgical techniques and practiced suturing! 🧤

Experiences like these give students an opportunity to step into the world of healthcare, build confidence, and gain valuable hands-on skills.

Our JMA students have been busy this session!

🔬 Surgery Skills Lessons: hands-on practice building real clinical technique
👂 Audiology Lessons: exploring how we hear and how hearing is tested
❤️ Circulatory Lessons: heart model races to learn how blood flows through the heart
🦷 Dentistry Lessons: getting up close with oral health and dental care

Every lesson gets students out of their seats and into the work, so they can see what a career in medicine could look like.

True North HealthWorks will be at Booth #35 on Saturday and Sunday, September 26–27, and we would love to meet you!

Our VUSD JMA students had the privilege to tour Dr. Ochs chiropractic office.

During their tour, Dr. Ochs discussed what chiropractic medicine is, how she helps her patients, and showed them around her office.

Students were shown the adjustment room, along with her massage therapy room and informed why both are important to practice chiropractic medicine.

Learning beyond the classroom! 🩺✨

This past week, students from Visalia Unified School District visited Synergy Chiropractic for an inside look at chiropractic care. They toured the office and enjoyed hands on learning with the equipment, and even learned stretches they can practice at home!

A huge thank you to Dr. Hobbs for welcoming our students into his office, sharing his knowledge, and introducing them to the field of chiropractic medicine. We are grateful for this wonderful learning experience!
