Enjoying my Recover massage oil after 2 weeks of moving, followed closely by 1 full week of goofin' off and enjoying life, including lots of forest fun.

I love how smooth and silky the feeling is on & has such a wonderful scent on the skin!

Made with Capsaicin & Saint John's Wort oil this product is great to ease muscle tension and pain associated with exertion, or injury.

I am starting to unpack the shoppe, and it is proving to be a much more emotional task than the packing was.

It took me a full hour and a half just to prepare myself to decide where to begin.

Naturally, I chose Jeanne's bottles.

The second bottle I unpacked was Jeanne's fossilized spruce oil, which had been sitting on a shelf in her basement since 1975, until I brought it home to the Apothecary in 2021.

After all these years, it has moved out of its crystalline formation and liquefied.

And the aroma is divine.

Jeanne would often liken my tendency to revisit painful experiences to picking the scab off a Frankincense tree.

She taught me that the precious, aromatic tears of Frankincense form when the tree is wounded and the resin is allowed to accumulate and harden.

But if we keep reopening the wound, picking at it over and over, those beautiful, odoriferous, ritually valuable tears never have the opportunity to form.

And here I am, unpacking the remnants of a life I have just laid down, with tears streaming down my face, holding a bottle of resin that has transformed after decades of stillness.

What a beautiful reminder of her wisdom.

Some wounds need to be left alone long enough to become something beautiful.

Grateful for her guidance, even now. ❤️

I spent the day reconnecting with myself, nourishing my spirit, and feeding the work I do with plant medicine.

I'm grateful for your understanding during this transitional time in my life. I should be back to production next week.
