We’re bringing back our Speed Friending Event after such a great response from our first one!

Adults with disabilities will have the opportunity to meet new people, practice conversation skills, build confidence, and make meaningful connections in a fun, guided environment.

✨ New this time: Parents and caregivers are invited to stay! While participants enjoy Speed Friending, parents can enjoy free desserts and participate in a conversation with Raising Texas Voices to help shape disability advocacy efforts across Texas.

Welcome to the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing – Transition to Adulthood!

We’re excited to launch this page as a space to share resources, events, and stories focused on supporting youth and young adults with disabilities as they navigate the transition to adulthood.

Through our programming, we partner with students, families, educators, and community members to build skills related to employment, independent living, self-advocacy, and community engagement—all with a focus on flourishing, belonging, and meaningful participation in adult life.
