In honor of World Teacher's Day, we would like to say thank you to our amazing teachers at Little Lumens! The four of you bring so much joy to the classroom. You each display a level of patience and understanding that helps our students always feel welcomed. 💜

Today is September 11th, marking the 25th Anniversary of 9/11.

During story time, we read “This Very Tree” written and illustrated by Sean Rubin. It is told from the point of view of the real life Callery pear tree that stood between the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers. This book is all about resilience and regrowth.

Afterwards, our teachers had a fun arts project in honor of 9/11.

Yesterday was National Teddy Bear Day and we celebrated with a Show and Tell of all our favorite stuffies at Little Lumens! 🧸💜 Can you spot the tiny white bear?

It’s Labor Day!🇺🇸 Thank you to our amazing teachers, ABA therapists and admin that work so hard everyday making Little Lumens so special. There’s no I in TEAM🫂

Little Lumens had a very colorful and eventful week🌈

We learned all about mixing primary colors and how they can create secondary colors like orange, purple, and green! Everyone got the chance to share their favorite colors and work together matching colors as well.

On Wednesday, 9/2 we celebrated National Blueberry Popsicle Day🫐 and everyone sure had a good time!

Thank you to our teachers for always coming up with fun and creative ways to learn, can’t wait for next week!

As we close out our summer here at Little Lumens, we wanted to share some highlights from July and August!☀️

Once Camping Week was over, we went into Zoo Week then Sports Week where we made our own jerseys, practiced counting, and created our own footballs🏈. Making our own ice cream cones was the best! Sorting watermelon shapes were a little tricky, but with the help of our teachers we got it!

August ended with a beautiful celebration as we got to shower one of our ABA Therapists as she gets ready to welcome her little one into the world!

Special thank you to our families for trusting us with your little ones and for all the love and support you show our school and staff!💜We can’t wait to see what this fall season brings!

It's camping week at Little Lumens! 🏕️ The kids created a campfire out of foil and paint then embarked on a scavenger hunt to learn about different camping items. The excitement after every find lit up the room! Days like this are our favorite.

Ocean week is in full swing! 🌊 The kids turned ordinary jars into rolling waves using food dye and a bit of science. There’s something kind of magical about watching a little one realize they can make the ocean move.
