The founder of Graceland Tattoo, Adam Lauricella has helped shape the shop’s creative direction since opening its doors. In his 26th year of tattooing, the Hudson Valley has been his home base throughout his career. Adam’s foundation is American Traditional and classic black and grey, with an emphasis on clean, readable work that holds up over time. When a tattoo calls for finer detail or a different approach, he adjusts. The work dictates his approach.
What has stayed consistent is the way he works with people. Adam takes the time to understand what a client wants, gives honest guidance, and tries to make the process comfortable without overcomplicating it. Talk through the session or put your headphones on. Both are fine.
Adam’s a family man, and outside the shop, much of his attention is at home. He and his wife, Keely, like to tackle all kinds of projects. He's into watching basketball, the Buffalo Bills and seeing his kids do what they do. You may also remember him producing Tattoos & Brews, a project that brought tattooing, community and a lot of people together under one roof. He takes a lot of pride in Graceland Tattoo, the clients who have trusted the shop over the years, and the people he gets to work alongside every day.
Adam is currently booking new tattoo projects, big and small, and is always glad to hear what people have in mind.
