This year’s theme, “Generations of Infection Prevention | Past. Present. Protected.”, recognizes how infection prevention practices have evolved over the years and the importance of continuing to protect those we care for.

At our center, infection prevention is part of what we do every day. From following proper hand hygiene and infection control practices to staying informed on current guidelines and best practices, every team member plays a role in keeping our residents, families, and staff safe. This week, we’re especially grateful for our Infection Prevention team and everyone who helps make infection prevention a priority each day.

Happy Family Friday!

Our residents had a monstrously good time creating their very own little monster crafts! Each resident added their own special touch with bright colors, fun decorations, and lots of creativity, making every monster unique. This fun-filled activity encouraged imagination, self-expression, and fine motor skills while bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. We absolutely love seeing our residents proudly show off their adorable little masterpieces!

Happy Tuesday!

Our resident had a wonderful time getting creative during our fall pillow craft activity! Mr. Joshi and Mr. Hector proudly showed off their adorable acorn pillow, complete with bright fall colors and a cheerful smile. This fun, hands-on activity encouraged creativity, self-expression, and a sense of accomplishment. Seeing smiles and pride on our residents’ faces makes these special moments even more meaningful!

Happy Tuesday!

Happy National Coffee Day! Residents enjoyed the coffee bar. They were offered fresh coffee and creamer of their choice. Some residents took advantage of this and tried new creamers. Ms. Victory and Loretta enjoying a delicious cup of coffee.

During Healthcare Food Service Workers Week, we’re celebrating our dedicated Food Service Team and the important role they play in our residents’ daily lives.

This year’s theme, “Nourishing the Future: Health, Heart & Hospitality,” highlights the many ways our Food Service Team contributes to the experience of our residents. Food is more than nourishment. It can bring comfort, familiarity, connection, and a little reminder of home.

Every day, our team works hard to prepare meals our residents can enjoy, accommodate individual needs, and make mealtimes something to look forward to. From our chefs and cooks to our culinary aides and everyone behind the scenes, there is a lot of care and teamwork that goes into every meal. Thank you to our Food Service Team for the pride, consistency, and care you bring to your work each day. We appreciate everything you do for our residents, our center, and community!

Happy Family Friday!

Piney Grove Baptist Church comes out every fourth Thursday to volunteer for bingo. Not only do they volunteer their time, they also bring great bingo prizes. Our residents love snacks and stuffed animals. We are very grateful they chose our facility to volunteer their time and resources. They are greatly appreciated!

Happy Thoughtful Thursday!

We had great participation with our Alzheimer's Walk. Staff and residents were eager to get outside to show their support and walk for the cause. Purple flooded the building. Staff and residents wrote names of their friends and family members that have been affected by Alzheimer's. We hope to make this event bigger and better with each passing year.
