A Special Tribute to 37 Years of Dedication! ⚾🥎

A very special and heartfelt moment took place at Tower Park as Mike Haggerty, Park Board President, surprised Lisa Williams with the unveiling of a beautiful engraved bench honoring Lisa and her late husband, Rob Williams, for their incredible 37 years of dedication to the Warren Baseball & Softball League!

Year after year, night after night, Lisa and Rob poured their hearts into making sure our community's kids had a place to play ball. From preparing fields and lining up umpires to coaching teams, managing finances, ordering trophies and T-shirts, and handling countless behind-the-scenes details — they did it all!

The hours were long, the work was endless, and the sacrifices were many. But they did it because they loved the kids, the game, and their community. ❤️

Their dedication and sacrifices did not go unnoticed.

Through the Tower Park grant project, we are honored to have a permanent place in the very park where Lisa and Rob gave so much of their time, energy, and hearts. Two benches, one at each diamond- behind center field under shade trees, where families can sit, watch a ballgame, make memories, and be reminded of two people who helped make so many childhood memories possible.

Lisa and Rob, 37 years of service. Countless lives touched. A legacy that will live on for generations.

Thank you, Lisa, and in loving memory of Rob. Our community is forever grateful for all you have given! ⚾🥎❤️

**MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY AT TOWER PARK!**

What a great day of giving back to our community! A HUGE thank you to all the amazing volunteers who showed up Saturday to help make a difference at Tower Park! Your time, hard work, and dedication are truly appreciated!

We accomplished so much, including:
🌱 Seeding and strawing dirt areas that were repaired in the lawn

🪑 Repairing and painting benches and picnic tables

🎨 Painting posts in the old pavilion

🥏 Sanding and painting disc golf posts and signs

⚾ Painting the top rail on ball diamond fence preparing for new fencing

🚧 Forming the area for the new handicap accessible sidewalk at the bathrooms

🚜 A huge shout out to Joel Leas, Leas Farms, for taking time out of his busy schedule during harvest season to come out and chisel plow the ball diamonds 12-14" deep to improve the drainage! THANK YOU!!

🥪 Another special THANK YOU to Texas Tenderloin for serving up a delicious lunch and generously donating a portion of their sales back to the park projects!

It's amazing what we can accomplish when our community comes together! We are so thankful for everyone helping bring new life to Tower Park!

Small Town, Big Heart! ❤️
