You can only receive emotional safety from others to the capacity that you can hold it for yourself.
Read that again.
Because if you’ve ever wondered why reassurance from the people you love feels good for a while but doesn’t stay, why the calm never quite sticks no matter how much love is around you, that’s why.
We were never taught that safety is something we build inside ourselves first.
We were taught to find it, in the right relationship, the right environment, the right version of our circumstances.
So we keep looking outward, and we keep coming up empty, not because we’re not loved, but because there’s nowhere inside us yet to let it land.
When I started building emotional safety within myself, everything shifted.
And it wasn’t because my life changed, but because I finally had somewhere to return to when it got hard. A place inside of me to hold myself through it.
I could witness myself in the middle of a hard moment before it consumed me. Pause. Meet myself where I was. Hold myself through it.
And for the first time, when the people around me showed up for me, I could actually feel it and receive it. Because I had built enough capacity inside to receive it.
That’s the work.
It’s not about finding safer people or a quieter life.
It’s about building a relationship with yourself so steady that you become the place you return to, and everything outside of you has somewhere to land.
That’s exactly what The Emotional Safety Method is built to help you do.
It’s coming soon, and if this resonated, you’re exactly who I made it for.
You are safe to exhale, even if life hasn’t slowed down yet. 💜
