Listen ... Be sure to celebrate your non-scale victories. Not all victories happen on the scale! Did you climb the stairs with ease? Skip the donuts at work? Reduce your blood pressure? Race your children around the block? Break your 5K record? Complete 3 workouts this week? Sometimes we get so focused on weight loss that we forget the other significant benefits of exercise.

Be sure to celebrate all the ways your healthy habits are having a positive impact on your life. Stick with it and a happier, healthier you is right around the corner! Fitness Begins with Correct Thinking.

Fitness Begins With Correct Thinking: Don't just exercise your body ... exercise your brain:
Boost happy chemicals. Slogging through a few miles on the ‘mill can be tough, but it’s worth the effort! Exercise releases endorphins, which create feelings of happiness and euphoria. Studies have shown that exercise can even alleviate symptoms among the clinically depressed. For this reason, docs recommend that people suffering from depression or anxiety (or those who are just feeling blue) pencil in plenty of gym time. In some cases, exercise can be just as effective as antidepressant pills in treating depression. Don’t worry if you’re not exactly the gym rat type — getting a happy buzz from working out for just 30 minutes a few times a week can instantly boost overall mood.

Body Builder Diet 101:
6am: Egg White Omelet w/ Veggies & Oatmeal & Vitamins
9am: Protein Shake (chocolate is my favorite)
Noon: Grilled chicken breast, green beans, red potatoes
3pm: Protein Bar
6pm: Flounder, asparagus, brown rice

Of course, one half to a full gallon of water goes with this. Enjoy!!
