In Loving Memory of Ambassador Joan Margaret Clark,

It is with profound sadness that the Senior Living Foundation announces the passing of our founding chairman, Ambassador Joan Margaret Clark.

Ambassador Clark was born on March 27, 1922, and died on October 11, 2026, at the age of 104. She joined the Foreign Service in 1945 and later served as Ambassador to Malta, Director General, and Assistant Secretary to Consular Affairs.

Throughout her tenure, Ambassador Clark demonstrated a deep commitment to the Foreign Service Community. Ambassador Clark was an AFSPA Board member, DACOR Board member and first female president.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. Her leadership, service, and legacy will always be remembered.
