Properly disposing of unused medications helps prevent accidental poisoning, reduce prescription drug misuse, and protect our environment.

A few things to remember: Remove personal information from medication packaging, keep liquids tightly sealed in their original containers, and leave syringes and medical waste at home, as they cannot be accepted.

APPLY TODAY | The Division of Public Assistance (DPA) has added an online application for the Heating Assistance Program (HAP).

This means that Alaskans applying for HAP can now apply completely online. No downloading, printing or emailing required!

Apply for HAP online at the Alaska Connect portal: https://direc.to/fV9a

Once you’ve signed in, to start your application, click the orange button labeled “Apply for Heating Assistance.”

In-person service and paper applications are still available at any DPA office or by calling 1-800-478-7778.
