A colonoscopy might sound scary, but knowing what to expect can make it much less intimidating.

At GI Associates, our gastroenterologists have specialized training and extensive experience performing colonoscopies. Our team walks you through the prep, answers your questions and helps you feel comfortable.

The benefits? A colonoscopy can find cancer early and allows your doctor to remove precancerous polyps before they can turn into cancer.

Colorectal cancer screening starts at age 45 for most adults at average risk, even if you feel fine. Some people need to start earlier based on their personal or family history.

If you’re due, don’t let fear keep you from scheduling. Call 715-847-2558 or visit giassoc.org/appointments/. No referral needed.

We had a great time last night hosting a festive Oktoberfest gathering at our Stevens Point location for the Portage County Business Council’s Business After Hours! 🥨🍂

We enjoyed meeting so many people, welcoming them to our clinic and sharing more about what we do.

Thank you to Portage County Business Council, Inc. for helping bring everyone together, Rockman's Catering for the delicious Oktoberfest food, and District 1 Brewing Company for the great beverages!

Here are some fun photos from the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Today was our first employee flu clinic at GI Associates in Wausau! Tania and Abby are helping us share a timely reminder.

Getting vaccinated helps protect our team, our families and the patients we care for every day. Flu can be especially serious for young children, older adults, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions or weakened immune systems.

The CDC recommends getting your flu shot by the end of October. Have you gotten yours yet?

Spooky season is creeping up, so let’s talk about boo-wel habits! 👻

All jokes aside, pay attention to changes in the shape, color or consistency of your bowel movements. If those changes persist or keep coming back, it’s important to schedule a visit to find out what’s causing them.

GI Associates is here to help. Call us at 715-847-2558. No referral needed.

October 5–11 is Active Aging Week, a good reminder that healthy aging includes your digestive health.

Eating fiber-rich foods daily and making regular movement part of your routine can support healthy digestion and help you stay active.

And don’t dismiss new or ongoing digestive symptoms as “just getting older.”

Have questions or concerns? GI Associates is here to help. No referral needed.
