It takes two to make a baby, and a healthy pregnancy starts about 90 days before conception.

🥊Joe is improving his Parkinson’s disease one punch at a time. 🥊

“I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease nearly three years ago. From the start, my wife and daughter were researching therapies and treatment options to help slow the progression of the disease, and that’s how I was introduced to Rock Steady Boxing. I’ve committed to it ever since and I can genuinely feel the difference in my body when I don’t go. It helps me stay limber, and I always leave feeling better – both physically and emotionally. The social connections I’ve made here are invaluable, and the support from the program directors and fellow boxers has been one of the greatest parts of the experience.

Looking back, Rock Steady Boxing has truly been one of the silver linings in my journey with Parkinson’s – it has brought positivity, support and strength into my life.”

This week, team members at Bryan East Campus showcased artistic talents in our Halloween pumpkin contest that challenged employees to turn pumpkins into food and drink-inspired masterpieces. The results were impressive and a lot of fun.

Balance is something we don’t often think about, but when it becomes concerning it can really affect your life.

Cindy hadn’t fallen but she had many near misses and wanted to build stability. She completed physical therapy sessions with Laura Corbridge, PT at Bryan West Campus. She shares, “My therapist has taken me from being leery of leaving the house to now feeling confident leaving the house, even without an assistive device. Now I find myself doing activities that I haven’t done for a long time and feel good about them.”

The home has been lifted, its new site is prepared and 34 specialized dollies will help guide it to its new location on the Bryan East Campus.

The move is tentatively planned for November 7, with November 14 as a backup date, depending on factors such as equipment availability or weather.
