🌿 Turnsole: A Little Herb with a Big History! 🌿

Turnsole is a fascinating plant with a long history in traditional herbalism and natural dyes. Depending on the species, it has been used for coloring fabrics and other materials. Nature is full of little plants with stories worth discovering! 🌱

🌼 From the field to the shelf: Goldenrod! 🌼

Goldenrod is such a beautiful plant, and once it’s harvested and properly dried, it can be stored and prepared for future herbal projects. 🌿

✨ Drying herbs is an important part of homesteading and herbalism because it allows us to preserve what nature provides long after the growing season has passed.

🌾 A little reminder: Always make sure your goldenrod is properly identified, harvested from a clean area, and thoroughly dried before storing to help prevent mold.

God has filled this earth with so much beauty and abundance. Sometimes, we just have to slow down, look a little closer, and learn what’s growing right in our own backyards. 🙏💚

Do you harvest and dry your own herbs, or are you just beginning your herbal journey? Let me know in the comments! 👇

🌿 Growing in knowledge, rooted in faith.

It was truly an honor and a blessing to be invited to speak and share my love for the wild herbs and plants God so wonderfully created for us. Looking out and seeing a full tent of people who genuinely wanted to learn and hear what I had to share was such a humbling and beautiful experience. 🥹🙏

I enjoyed every minute of getting to talk with y’all, meet so many wonderful people, share knowledge, hear your stories, and connect with others who share a love for homesteading, natural living, and God’s creation.

To everyone who stopped by my booth to chat, show support, purchase something, or simply take a moment to visit with me, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Every conversation, kind word, and bit of support meant more to me than you know. ❤️

My prayer is that I didn't just leave you with a little more knowledge about the wild herbs growing all around us, but that I also reminded you of something even more important: how deeply God loves you.

He created this beautiful world with such intention and purpose. There is so much to learn from His creation, and I feel so blessed that He has given me the opportunity to share what I'm learning with others. But more than anything, I hope people walk away knowing that the same God who created every plant, flower, and tree also created them with love and purpose. 🌿✝️

Thank you, Miller Cattle Company , for such a wonderful opportunity, and thank you to every single person who made this experience so special. I pray that the seeds planted this weekend, both in knowledge and in faith, continue to grow long after the fair is over.

Go enjoy God's creation, keep learning, love one another, and never forget how much your Heavenly Father loves you. 🤎🌿

Go be healed in Jesus' name! 🙏❤️

Today was my first ever event and I have literally been working on making herbal medicine for 6 plus months. So much hard work for one day 😱🤪

And let me say, if it wasn't for my sweet friend I would have never had the cutest booth of all or been near as successful!

It was a full experience but my FAVORITE part was being a speaker and getting to share my love for God's creation with others and meeting and talking to everyone!

I made new friends and met other small business owners and it was a joy!

Thanks to everyone who came out, chatted, listened to my talk and supported my business 🫶

🌿😂 Herbalists, be honest… who else has squeezed those herbs like they owed you money?! 🙋‍♀️🤣

Little things like straining properly can make a difference in your herbal preparations! 🌱✨

Follow along for more herbal tips, wild plant education, and homestead remedies! 💚

As always, do your research, stay safe, and go be healed in Jesus’ name! 🙏🌿
