We are in the process of moving into our biggest studio yet and I feel very emotional about it.
Founders don’t enjoy talking about this, but building a small business is genuinely hard. You need to have an unreasonable amount of optimism, confidence, and resilience to keep going.
I didn’t earn anything for three years building Inoki. But he made it seem like I was doing him a favour working on this business.
His belief in me and Inoki was unwavering and unshakable.
But he always made sure to let me know that even if this business ended and I quit, I was still a success in his eyes because I tried my hardest.
Having someone believe in you that much is what got me through tough days and tougher nights.
Inoki turned 5 this year, broke records, made its fourth move, and operated by the most incredible team.
I feel so grateful.
