Facial volume changes can be subtle, but they often affect how light falls across the face. Patients may notice hollow temples, flatter cheeks, or a deeper transition under the eyes after aging or weight change.

Facial fat grafting uses a patient’s own fat to restore selected areas of volume. It is not simply about filling a line. I consider the facial fat compartments, the relationship between the eyelid and cheek, and how added volume will affect contour in motion.

Some of the transferred fat may not persist, and the final result can take time to settle. Weight changes may also affect the transferred tissue. The goal is not to add fullness everywhere. It is to restore support and proportion where volume loss has changed the face, with an amount that remains natural over time.

A Facelift should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. While men and women may share similar concerns about jowls, sagging skin, and neck laxity, their facial anatomy and aesthetic goals often require different surgical considerations.

In male patients, I pay particular attention to jawline definition, facial angles, beard-bearing skin, and incision placement to preserve a naturally masculine appearance.

For female patients, the approach may focus on refining the lower face, restoring smoother contours, and improving the transition between the jawline and neck, while maintaining their individual facial characteristics.

Ultimately, successful Facelift and Neck Lift Surgery comes down to understanding each patient's anatomy and goals. My priority is to create a personalized result that looks refreshed without compromising what makes their face unique.

Loose or heavy upper arms can affect how comfortable a patient feels in sleeveless clothing, even after weight loss or regular exercise. The cause is often a combination of skin laxity, soft-tissue distribution, and changes in the upper arm’s contour.

An arm lift removes a planned amount of excess skin and reshapes the remaining tissue. The location and length of the incision depend on how much skin is present and where it extends. If localized fat is also contributing, liposuction may be considered, but it cannot replace skin removal when laxity is the main concern.

I evaluate skin quality, tissue distribution, arm proportions, and the patient’s goals before recommending an approach. An arm lift can improve contour, but scars remain part of the tradeoff and healing takes time. The goal is a more balanced upper arm, not an unrealistic promise of perfection.

Some women and men tell me that their lower face feels out of balance, especially in profile. A recessed chin can make the nose appear more prominent or the jawline less defined, even when the other features are harmonious.

A chin implant adds projection to the bony chin through the soft-tissue envelope. During planning, I look at the profile and frontal views, the relationship between the lips and nose, the jawline, and the underlying bite. The ideal amount of projection differs from patient to patient, so the plan should never follow a generic male or female template.

Chin augmentation can improve facial balance, but it does not correct every skeletal or dental problem. Some concerns require a different evaluation, including orthodontic or jaw surgery planning. My goal is to create a more proportionate lower face without making the chin the first thing you notice.
