Not every tooth finds its way in on its own. 🩵

When a tooth stays trapped beneath the gums it’s called an impacted tooth. Left alone, it can affect the alignment of the surrounding teeth and your bite.

That’s where expose and bond comes in. Working together with your orthodontist, Dr. Mederos uncovers the impacted tooth and bonds a small bracket and chain to it. After a brief healing period, your orthodontist connects the chain to your archwire and gently guides the tooth into its proper place over several months. ✨

Is that spot in your mouth worth a second look? 🔍

Most mouth sores, like canker sores, bite marks and irritated tissue, heal on their own within a week or two. But some changes deserve a professional evaluation, and catching them early makes all the difference.

Signs to watch for:
✔️ A sore that hasn’t healed in 2 weeks
✔️ A white or red patch
✔️ A lump or thickened area
✔️ Unexplained numbness, pain or bleeding
✔️ Difficulty chewing or swallowing
