🦋 4- and 6-weeks Tai Chi Walking program starts soon online, in Naperville and Downers Grove.

Walking fast is great… but have you ever tried walking slow?
With full awareness. Controlling every step, every shift of weight.

It’s not easy, but that’s where the magic happens.

This practice builds real strength in the legs, improves balance, and teaches your body how to move with stability and confidence. At the same time, it calms the mind and helps release tension you didn’t even know you were holding.

This is not just exercise, it’s a completely different experience.

Perfect for anyone feeling unsteady on their feet, dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or looking for a gentle way to reduce stress and improve balance.

Come and try something different and unique. Slow down. Move better.

Tuesdays at noon online and in Naperville. Links in my Bio.

Tai Chi Walking is my unique balance training program for people over 50, as well as anyone struggling with balance, weak legs, neurological conditions, or knee or back pain.

It’s also a great complement to your PT sessions after knee replacement surgery, helping you work on balance, walking, and controlled movement as you recover, strengthening the muscles of your legs.

I would also recommend it for people with osteoporosis. While no studies have specifically examined Tai Chi Walking for bone density, research suggests that Tai Chi may help maintain or improve bone density. The weight-bearing movements in Tai Chi Walking make it an interesting practice to explore!

And one more thing — it’s very relaxing.

Fall Schedule:

🍁 Naperville & Online — Tuesdays at 12 PM CST (hybrid class), starting October 20

🍁 Downers Grove — Wednesdays at 8 AM, starting October 21

I think I did well! I didn’t mess up my Forms, got pretty good scores, audience liked it. What an experience!!! Will post some pictures and videos later. Here’s the summary:

🏅 1st place for Shaolin Kung Fu Spear
🏅 1st place for Shaolin Kung Fu Staff
🏅 1st place for Tai Chi Form 32
🏅 1st place for Tai Chi Sword 32

Grand Champion Award for winning more than 3 gold medals.

I enjoyed, but I think I am done with competitions for now.

Tai Chi Walking program is my balance training program.

Who would benefit the most?
🦋 Seniors, or anyone with balance issues
🦋 People with neurological conditions, MS, Parkinson’s
🦋 People with lower back pain, SI joints pain, knee pain or after knee, hip replacement
🦋People with Osteoporosis or Osteopenia - you will load the bones exactly as needed
🦋 People who feel Tai Chi is too complicated and still need to work on balance.

Give it a try. It’s also easy to practice at home. Dislaimer: we walk very slow, sometimes with the board or book on our heads to keep proper posture. We also do wall sits.

Schedule:
🐢 Tuesdays at 12pm CST online and in Naperville
🐢 Wednesdays at 8am i. Downers Grove

There’s still a lot to improve, but I am ready.

Just realized it’s never going to be perfect /especially under stresd/, but it’s ok. I have entire life to work on details, get my legs stronger, movements smoother, connect all limbs with the waist…

But for now, I’ll just go and do my best. And enjoy every bit of it.

Wish me luck!

Being a Tai Chi teacher doesn’t mean I’m done being a student.

I still take classes. I still practice. I still have things to fix, movements to refine, and so much more to learn.

And honestly, I hope that never changes.

Tai Chi is a lifelong journey. There is always another level to reach, another detail to discover, another way to move better.

And I think that’s the beauty of Tai Chi - you can be a student forever. And it’s perfectly okay.

I usually teach the sword only to my advanced students, but I wanted to make this beautiful practice accessible to everyone.
