Lehigh Valley based Music Therapy Associates, LLC was established in 1990 by Director Kathy Purcell, MT-BC.

With over two dozen therapists on staff, Therapeutic Arts Group provides individual and group music and art therapy for individuals of all ages and abilities throughout Eastern PA and surrounding areas! After years of providing in-home services, MTA became the premier provider of music therapy services in the greater Lehigh Valley area, including Philadelphia, Kutztown, Reading, Poconos, and Western New Jersey. Recognizing the varied needs of the area clientele, MTA expanded in 2018 and created its sister branch Art Therapy Associates, and thus the Therapeutic Arts Group was born! Now with a growing body of board certified music therapists and art therapists, TAG is committed to finding the perfect client-therapist pairing in order ensure client comfort, time and location flexibility, as well as the best therapeutic outcome possible. The following services are offered to help our clients achieve their goals:

~Traditional and adapted music lessons on most instruments and voice
~Art skills instruction on a variety of styles and media
~Assessments and evaluations
~Co-treatment sessions with speech, occupational, and physical therapies

I'm really excited for this one ⬇️

Next Saturday, Oct. 24, I'm hosting my third annual Disabilities Resource Fair (DRF) 10 a.m. to noon at Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Rt. 873, Schnecksville.

This year, we have over 40 providers representing everything from county, state and advocacy offices to behavioral health services and education resources. To help us celebrate, our friends Hearts for Music (https://www.heartsformusic.org/hfm-pennsylvania) will perform live music, Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21 will have its service dogs on hand and refreshments will be available, including coffee from Bitty & Beau's Coffee.

This is a really fun event with a lot of helpful resources for the disabled community. If you know of anyone who could benefit from this information, be sure to share this post with them.
