Get up and out. Walk and move. Stretch as you walk. Cat is getting up to a mile. Progress.

Morning swim. Windy enough for “swells”.

Patriots. Late post as I was a bit busy so the outcome is known. Still the K9 pup was cute. We got a fall colors show. Crazy drivers one who literally cut out lead Mass trooper off as our caravan was exiting. At least they pulled him over. Lights and sirens today. Missed 2/3 of the game.

Travel day. Boston to Providence. A’s stadium update. Cool clouds. Massachusetts troopers to Rhode Island es**rt. Beautiful day for a walk. Nice to catch up with college roommate.

When I talk to people about what I eat, I emphasize what I can find “out there”. In nature. Not “in there” such as a building, a store, a box, etc.. Meats, vegetables, and fruits. If you have to make it into something edible, process it, manufacture it, then it’s not going to be something your body knows what to do with. It may not be fully achievable but I would rather eat food that is 80% real over 80% that isn’t. Try for 90% if you can. Add to that the average person in an industrialized society eats far too much food in quantity then being more selective with the amount you should eat becomes affordable. When you eat, what you eat, how much you eat, and the timing of when you eat all matters. Do a physical activity after you eat to get your metabolism using the food rather than storing it. Don’t eat late or close to bedtime. Things like that.

At a glance, it's interesting that the writer used 3 synchronized swimming pictures to demonstrate her standard for beautiful legs but at no point encouraged exercise as a method to achieve them.

Reminder, synchro (now artistic swimming) is highly selective through very long training hours in the gym, studio and pool to achieve the visual and athletic presentation they are capable of. This is one of the hardest sports to achieve.

Women are going to great lengths for more beautiful stems. Lasers for your thighs, collagen-stimulating injections in your knees, leg-focused spa treatments—welcome to the new era of waist-down glam.

Congratulations A'ja. Well deserved.

Because this person is an ultramarathoner, I thought this article was relevant. This is new technology on old technology. In my training years, the technology was an Ilizarov external fixator applied outside the body, the long bones were cut, and the fixator was lengthened the same 1mm a day. Typically it was one turn of the nut on the threaded pin. The procedure was for short bones in children with birth and growth anomalies.

Todays technology are rods inserted internally down the middle of the bone and the mechanism to lengthen are magnets. This is not particularly new, but interestingly becoming more commonly known. Now this is for aethetics and personal happiness more than birth/growth deficiencies.

Buyer beware, there are real complications that can manifest with these procedures. The bone doesn't guarantee it will heal fully. The nerve pain mentioned is the nerve trying to stretch with the bone. Muscles do so more easily due the elastic nature of the tissue. Nerves are not.

Of all the sports I've watched, I'd say the basketball coach position seems to be one of the most stressful (if not by design) because of the constant yelling through the crowd noise to the players and the barking/convincing portion of the referees. I hope she is ok.

Nakase was in a heated discussion with an official when she fell to the floor.

On to the semi’s. Hoping for a Dallas win for logistical reasons. Got a high five from the coach.
