If your pelvic floor is already too tight, kegal exercises not be the fix you think it is.

In your 30s, a lot of women get told to "strengthen everything" without anyone checking whether tightness, not weakness, is actually the problem. A tight pelvic floor can respond very differently to heavy leg training than a weak one does.

This isn't a reason to panic or ditch your training program. It's a reason to get your pelvic floor actually assessed before assuming more reps is the answer.

Have you ever had yours checked?

Immune "boosting" is mostly marketing. Here's what actually matters this time of year.

Sleep and stress management affect immune response more than most supplements do.

Vitamin D often drops in fall and winter, and it's worth actually checking, not guessing.

IV therapy can support recovery and hydration, but it's not a replacement for the basics.

The goal isn't "never get sick." It's giving your body what it needs to bounce back faster.

We asked Dr. Secrist the questions you're actually curious about: morning routine, daily supplement, protein source, strength training, sleep habits, and the one thing he won't sacrifice sleep for.

His answers might change a few of your own habits.

Finding more hair in the shower drain lately? Let's talk about why, because it's rarely "just genetics."

Hair thinning can connect to thyroid function, iron levels, stress, and hormone shifts.

Postpartum and perimenopause are two major, under-discussed triggers.

Shampoo won't fix a root-cause problem. (Pun intended.)

Real answers start with labs, not a trip to the supplement aisle.

Doing everything "right" and the scale won't move? There's usually a reason, and it's rarely willpower.

Metabolism isn't fixed. It shifts with hormones, muscle mass, sleep, and stress, not just calories in/out.

Two people can eat identically and respond completely differently. Biology isn't one-size-fits-all.

Plateaus often mean your body adapted, not that you failed.

The fix starts with understanding what's actually happening metabolically, not another 30-day challenge.

Three trends I see constantly that deserve a second look: extreme calorie restriction, sacrificing sleep for productivity, and stacking supplements because social media said so.

Each one can interact with your hormones in ways people don't expect. Worth understanding before you follow the trend.

Dr. Secrist and Dr. Moore don't agree on everything. Hormones after 35 is one of them.

One of them thinks the conversation should start way earlier than most women expect. The other thinks "everyone needs hormone therapy" has become its own kind of myth.

Swipe through to see where they land, and where the actual answer depends on your labs, not your age.

There are things women are taught to just live with that are actually worth a conversation with your provider.

If any of these sound familiar, it's not something to push through quietly. Bring it up. That's what we're here for.

A widening part or a thinner ponytail isn't just "getting older." It's data.

Hair loss has real, identifiable causes, hormonal shifts, thyroid changes, stress, genetics, even certain nutrient deficiencies. The problem is most people wait until it's dramatic before asking why.

Male vs. Female hormone cycles: how are they different?

One resets every day. The other resets every month. That single difference changes how doctors test, diagnose, and treat.

For men, testosterone peaks in the morning and dips by evening, day after day, with a slow decline over years. One blood draw at the right time of day tells you a lot.

For women, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are all shifting throughout the month, which means a single snapshot lab can miss the real pattern entirely. Draw blood on day 3 versus day 21 and you could get two completely different stories, even in the same healthy cycle.

This is part of why women's hormone symptoms get dismissed so often. The standard approach was largely built around a hormone pattern that doesn't cycle the same way.

Swipe through to see how the two systems actually compare, and why timing your labs (not just running them) is part of getting real answers.

Dr. Secrist and Dr. Moore see this play out in real patients constantly. Questions about your own pattern? Drop them below.
