32 years ago, I made one decision that changed far more than I expected. And it wasn't a diet, a workout, or some remarkable health discovery.
I was just starting my chiropractic practice, and every morning I stopped at McDonald's. Folded egg biscuit. Jelly. Hash brown. Medium Coke. Every morning.
Then one day I decided: No more soda. Not less. Not occasionally. None. Ever. And I meant it.
Funny thing happened. One decision led to another. Eventually, no more fast food either. And somewhere along the way, my family followed suit. None of us drink soda or eat fast food today.
One decision. Then another. And without making a big production of it, the people around me changed too.
I'm not telling you this because I've got everything figured out. Far from it.
But every time I read another study telling us how to live healthier, I have to wonder: how many more times do we need to hear this stuff?
We read. We agree. Maybe feel a little guilty. Then go back to our routines.
Knowing and deciding are two very different things.
You don't have to change everything today. Sometimes one decision is enough to get things moving.
What's the one decision you can make today that could change your life?
Better, not perfect.
