October 3rd marked 25 years since Brian Carney, Partner and Co-Founder, officially received his license and began his career in financial services.

A lot has changed since 2001, but Brian’s commitment to helping people make sense of complex financial decisions has remained a constant.

That commitment eventually led him to co-found RiversEdge Advisors in 2018, with a vision for a transparent, advice-first approach to wealth management. Since then, he’s continued to find new ways to serve clients and help the people around him grow along the way.

And if you know Brian, you know his enthusiasm doesn’t stop at the office. He’s just as invested in his family’s activities as he is in his work, while still making time to mentor young professionals, give back to the Delaware community, and squeeze in a round of golf (or two).

And we couldn’t celebrate 25 years without a little throwback!

Twenty-five years in, and we have a feeling Brian is just getting started. Congratulations, Brian!

Congratulations to State Representative Mike Smith!

The Board of Directors of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce today announced the appointment of Mike Smith as the organization’s next president. Smith will succeed Michael J. Quaranta, who will retire in mid-December after eight years of service to the State Chamber and Delaware’s business community.

“Michael Smith brings strong advocacy experience, a deep understanding of Delaware, and a proven ability to build relationships across sectors,” said John Gooden, chair of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Those strengths will be important as the State Chamber continues to represent the interests of Delaware employers and advocate for a competitive business climate.”
