Fall is the season to nourish the body.

In Chinese medicine, fall is the season of the lungs and large intestines—the time when we need to nourish and restore our body’s immune system, digestive health, and ability to let go.

If you’ve been feeling run down, drained, or even a bit heavy lately, this is the season to reset your body’s rhythm.

Nourishing yourself isn’t just about eating hearty soups. It’s also about making time for rest, focusing on quality sleep, and choosing activities that replenish your energy, not drain it.

If you’re feeling out of sync, this is the perfect time to reset before the winter months. Don’t let your body stay out of balance. Now’s the time to start taking action.

Book a free 10-minute consultation call with us today to learn how we can help nourish you.

Welcome, Alyssa!

Alyssa is a North Carolina Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist (NC LMBT #23145). Originally from New Jersey, she studied massage at the Aveda Institute here in Wilmington. She specializes in deep tissue massage as well as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, and acupressure.

Her approach to bodywork is deeply influenced by a lifelong relationship with movement, creativity, and wellness. A ballet and contemporary dancer since the age of three, she developed an early appreciation for the connection between movement, tension, recovery, and the way we experience our bodies.

Her love of movement eventually led her to become a certified yoga instructor in 2020, further shaping her understanding of anatomy, breath, mobility, and the mind-body connection.

As a massage therapist, Alyssa brings that awareness into each session, adapting her work to the individual and creating treatments that are both therapeutic and deeply restorative, helping clients feel heard, cared for, and more at home in their bodies.

Outside of massage, Alyssa is a lifelong creative who writes poetry, sketches, and paints. She is also the very happy mother of two boys, who are at the heart of why she values meaningful, sustainable work that allows her to care for others while remaining present for the people she loves most.

Time for a nice deep breath!

Breathing one of the most natural things we do, yet it’s often the first thing we forget when we’re stressed.

Most of us will instinctively hold our breath and tighten up when stress hits.

The tightness can feel like you’re holding on to everything: the worries, the to-do lists, the pressure.

The challenge is that the tightness usually doesn’t just go away on its own. It can become physical tension, emotional weight, and mental fog.

Here’s the good news: you can release that tightness and start breathing deeply again.

Acupuncture and massage work by helping to restore your body’s natural flow of energy—and it starts with releasing tension.

Are you ready to breathe a sigh of relief? Book a free 10-minute phone consult at:

Things can start feeling heavy in the fall. The air turns cooler, the leaves fall, and emotions can feel like they’re surfacing all at once. If you’ve been feeling extra heavy, like there’s this weight on your chest or shoulders you just can’t shake, you’re not imagining it.

Acupuncture isn’t just for physical issues—it’s about balancing your energy and emotions too.

By restoring energetic balance and helping to let go of what no longer serves you, acupuncture can help release that heaviness. It creates the space to process and heal, so you feel better, both physically and emotionally.

You don’t have to carry that weight anymore. This is the perfect time to let go, feel lighter, and start moving forward. Book a free 10-minute consultation call with us today!

Headaches can happen for a lot of reasons.

We regularly treat:
• Migraines
• Hormonal headaches
• Tension headaches
• Post-concussion headaches
• Post-viral headaches
• Weather-triggered pain
• Neck and shoulder-driven headaches
• “I don’t even know why my head hurts” headaches

Each one has a different pattern:
• Some are inflammatory
• Some are hormonal
• Some are stress-driven
• Some are structural

We assess sleep, hormones, digestion, stress load, posture, circulation, and more because lasting relief requires precision.

If you’re still reaching for painkillers weekly, that may be a sign the root cause hasn’t been addressed. Book a free 10-minute consultation call with us today to learn how we can help you!

🍂 Welcome, fall 🍂 !

Fall is a season of change, and it’s a great time to release what no longer serves you!

In Chinese medicine, fall is connected to the lungs and the large intestines — the organs that are crucial for clearing things out. The lungs help us release grief, and the large intestines help us let go of physical waste. It’s the perfect time to clear out old emotional baggage and detoxify your body.

Are you holding onto things like stress, old grudges, or emotional baggage that’s draining your energy? Fall is the time to clear out the clutter so you can embrace the new.

This is a perfect time to focus on balance and self-care! Want to learn more? Book a free 10-minute phone consult at:
