As we move ever deeper into retrograde cycles and seasons of release, I've found myself wanting to take my own practice deeper. In a synchronistic turn of events (which doesn't surprise me at all), several of you reached out around the same time asking about course offerings, and Reiki kept coming up. Never one to shrug off signs from the Universe, I'm offering a few Reiki Level 1 classes between now and the end of the year.

Honoring the retrograde cycles and the season we're in -- less is more -- these will be capped at 2 students per class. This allows us a much more intentional container and space for deeper conversations about Reiki, energy healing, and the gifts and experiences you bring with you. You'll also get homework to build your practice between sessions, plus optional tutoring support at a discounted rate.

Classes are held at my office in Wilmington, NC. Open dates include (you'd attend just one):

December 5.

Level 2 classes will follow in January and February for anyone who wants to keep going. If you're remote and interested, send me a message and we can talk through options.

🔴 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀. Persephone was gathering flowers in a meadow when the ground split open and Hades pulled her down into the underworld. Her mother, Demeter, searched for her endlessly, carrying torches across the earth. When no answer came, Demeter's grief turned into punishment. She denied the land its spring, and the world fell into what seemed like an endless winter where fields went fallow, orchards stood bare, and nothing bloomed or ripened for harvest.

The grief wreaked so much havoc that Zeus finally ordered Hades to release Persephone. Before letting her go, Hades tempted her with six glistening pomegranate seeds. Because she accepted them, she was bound to return to the underworld for part of every year, and her time below became the winter we still live through today.

On October 3, Venus begins its own descent, stationing retrograde at 8° Scorpio. This sign is ruled by Pluto, the name the Romans gave to Hades himself. The planet of love, beauty, and money goes underground, and for the next six weeks we are asked to follow it.

While this Venus retrograde begins in Scorpio, it will dip back into Libra mid-way through. To understand what needs transformation, we must follow the trail of pomegranate seeds back to our relationships, which is Libra’s domain.

During all of this, Mercury begins its own retrograde through Scorpio. In Greek myth, Mercury (known as Hermes) is the one god who moves freely between the upper world and the underworld, and is sent by Zeus to bring Persephone back to the light. Mercury carries what we discover in the shadowy, nuanced depths of the psyche and puts it into words. Realizations are the starting point, and we must also find ways to express our discovered truths.

Both planets station direct on Friday, November 13, and that is when the climb back to the surface begins. Winter always ends, and Persephone always returns. What changes is what we choose to carry up with us and what we finally decide to leave below.

As you navigate these cycles, hold space for the in-between. Many of us are standing at the threshold of massive change. You are not alone, and intentional time spent looking within honors the ancient need to find meaning and purpose through change. 🌚 Happy New Moon in Cancer. I had a grand intention of sending out a newsletter describing the lunation, how it's conjunct Mercury Retrograde and making a wide square to Saturn in Aries. I went through many drafts in my head and knew I wanted to drive home the point of, "There's no place like home." 𝑌𝑒𝑠, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑎 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡, I thought to myself. I had a Mooji quote locked and loaded. I was ready to write all the things, y'all 😂 But when it came to making the concept tangible, I couldn't pull it together with the time I actually had to sit down and write. Which is pretty funny considering how much that describes the astrology I'm working so hard to describe. Sure, I may have an idea of what's becoming, but I'm not quite there yet, and neither is the concept. It's percolating. Let it be. 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗯𝗲. Limitations are harder when you try to bulldoze past them. Everything will be fine if you can let it be what it is for now. 💛

😳 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻; 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗲. With summer in full swing, I write this newsletter after some much-needed time away from a laptop screen. Stepping back brings important things into focus, and one conversation with a client has stayed with me since her session. I wanted to share some parts of it (with permission) because I think many will find it relatable.

For context, this client is in the Soul Support Membership and we’ve met monthly to discuss topics on life and love, and how these activate in her birth chart. In the most recent session, she wanted to explore a signature of anxious attachment. Now, if you've had any kind of session with me, you know I'm not the kind of practitioner who treats the birth chart as some sort of oppressive, binding contract. I believe most of life is shaped by free will, but there are also placements that speak to challenge, perseverance, loss, and disappointment. When transits activate those placements, something important surfaces. Life pivots, and the big soul lessons we came here to learn reveal themselves.

We spent the session discussing this anxious attachment style, allowing her own experiences to come forward. As we sorted through the nuances of the chart, her personal strengths started to shine through like stars lighting up the night sky. There is a certain heaviness to this season of life she’s in, and yet all around her are pockets of encouragement, nudging her to trust the process unfolding and honor her truths.

The conversation became less about, “Why is this happening to me,” and more about, “What might this be trying to teach me?” This kind of curiosity can free us from the chains that shame, guilt, blame, and fear place on us. Curiosity allows us to engage gently. When we meet a hard pattern this way, we find the stamina not just to keep going, but to change behaviors and routines, to forgive ourselves and others, and to affirm our needs and desires differently.

As I noted in my post about this summer's astrology, we are being encouraged to find our power and potential, to claim it in ways that wouldn't have felt possible even a few years ago. 👑 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞. In a recent post, I shared that Jupiter in Leo was the transit I had my eye on, and I’d like to talk more about why. On June 30th, the planet of expansion and abundance moves into the sign of leadership, creative expression, and authenticity. Over the next year, many of us will feel called toward opportunities that ask us to be seen more fully, whether that means stepping into a bigger role or reconnecting with a part of ourselves we set aside a while ago.

As with so much of the recent astrology, there is a plot twist to this energy. In July, the South Node also moves into Leo, tying Jupiter's expansion to questions of timing and direction. Jupiter wants to grow and reach outward, while the South Node asks us to release and turn inward; this transit is helping us hold and learn from both instincts. To do so, it will center the parts of us that feel ongoing dissatisfaction, a disconnect we can't seem to shake.

From here, the transit is unique to each person’s birth chart and soul journey. You may have spent years as the one who managed every last detail of the project, and lately that role isn't landing the way it once did. You may be moving into or out of a season centered on children or family. You may have reached the goals you set for yourself years ago and find that they no longer give you the same sense of meaning. The specifics differ between each of us, yet the underlying question tends to be the same.

When you step back far enough to see the pattern, this transit asks you to renovate your sense of self, and just as importantly, how you express it. Leo governs how we shine, how the inner self becomes something visible to other people. Jupiter and the South Node moving through it together suggest that the version of you that has carried you thus far is longing for change. That change will entail expansion and release until what remains is a more honest expression of who you actually are now.

That kind of understanding rarely happens in a single moment of insight. It unfolds slowly, across seasons, and you tend to see the threads only when you have somewhere consistent to return to and reflect. A reading can show you the map, but the integration — the part where you define what these experiences mean to you — happens over time. That is the reason I built the Soul Support Membership the way I did.

🦉 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗼 𝗦𝗼 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 | There's an assumption baked into a lot of self-development work, which is that you come to it because something has gone wrong. You hit a wall, you burn out, you fall apart, and then you go looking for tools to put yourself back together. That framing leaves out the women I work with most, who are not falling apart at all. They are running businesses, raising families, and hitting goals. And yet, milestone after milestone, satisfaction stays just out of reach. Something’s missing despite everything they’ve built, and that’s usually when the big, thoughtful questions begin.

This is exactly why I find that high-functioning women do so well with astrology. It is an ancient tool rooted in wisdom and guidance, and the depth it offers tends to match the depth of the questions you bring to it. Successful women are natural pattern-readers who hold complexity without needing it resolved right away, and they’ve usually done a great deal of inner work already — whether through personality assessments, self-improvement books, seminars, therapy, vision boards, etc. Astrology is another doorway into that same instinct, one that approaches life through meaning and timing. It asks different questions than the ones you field all day, and different questions often lead to clarity about what’s been missing and why.

🌕 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝘆 + 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻. On Sunday at 4:45 AM EST, the Full Moon reached exactness at 9°55' Sagittarius. It is a Blue Moon, meaning it’s our second full moon to fall within the same calendar month. Parts of our world are illuminating and perhaps feeling quite full.

Sagittarius is the sign of the seeker, the philosopher, the truth-teller. This lunation activates the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, the polarity between information and wisdom, between collecting facts and understanding what they actually mean. Mercury in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries at 29°, and there is a supportive evolution available here: the thoughts you have been sitting with, turning over, wrestling into language, are ready to become something more integrated.

Chiron at 29° Aries is itself significant. The 29th degree of any sign is called the anaretic degree, a point of fullness and urgency before a threshold crossing. Chiron has been teaching us about wounded identity and the courage to move anyway. As it sits at the final degree of Aries, the theme of fullness intensifies. A chapter is ready to be understood more comprehensively, in a way that brings both closure and movement.

As the moon wanes over the next two weeks toward the Gemini New Moon on June 14th, Chiron will sit at this final degree point in Aries. On June 19th, it moves into Ta**us, shifting the healing conversation 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

June will indeed be a month of crossing thresholds both energetically and in material, measurable ways. I have personally felt excited to see what Chiron in Ta**us activates within the collective consciousness. Deep healing around worthiness and our relationship to money is available through this transit.

Knowing that, I’ve designed my next virtual gathering to explore these very themes.
