🌸 MONDAY COACHING TIP | MARCY OF LIGHT 🌸
“True nobility lies in being superior to your former self.”
— Ernest Hemingway
What if personal growth wasn’t about becoming better than who you once were, but becoming more aware of who you already are?
We often measure growth by what we’ve accomplished, overcome, changed, or left behind.
But consider this…
The person you were five years ago was navigating life with the awareness, understanding, experiences, and resources available to them at that moment.
That version of you wasn’t inferior.
They were simply experiencing life through a different lens of consciousness.
Every choice, every perceived mistake, every triumph, every heartbreak, and every unexpected detour contributed another shade to the beautiful prism of your existence.
Perhaps true nobility isn’t found in surpassing your former self, but in honoring every version of yourself that brought you to this present moment.
Your former self doesn’t need your judgment.
They deserve your compassion.
Your present self doesn’t need constant improvement.
They deserve your conscious presence.
And your future self?
They are an unfolding possibility, not a destination you must race toward.
🪷 Today’s Embodiment Invitation
Rather than asking, “Am I better than I was yesterday?”
Consider asking:
✨ What do I understand today that I couldn’t recognize before?
✨ Where am I responding with greater awareness rather than reacting through familiar patterns?
✨ Can I appreciate who I was without needing to remain who I was?
Growth isn’t necessarily about replacing yourself. Sometimes it’s about expanding your capacity to consciously inhabit all that you are.
And perhaps that is nobility in its most beautiful expression.
Not superiority over another.
Not rejection of who you once were.
But the quiet dignity of becoming more consciously acquainted with yourself.
With love and light, 🪷
