It was an eventful morning as the ASF Staff worked to move the Race Shed from next to the deck to its new home🚜!

Who’s ready to hit the slopes with the ASF⛷️🏂?!

Our new lesson request system is up and running! Students and parents can now request lessons 1️⃣5️⃣ to 4️⃣5️⃣ days in advance, making it easier to plan ahead while helping the ASF match each student with the appropriately trained instructors and resources needed for a great experience. Instead of having one designated day each week to request lessons, our new system allows students and parents to submit requests at their convenience🥳!

However, there are a couple of important date ranges to keep in mind when requesting lessons during the holiday periods. Starting next Tuesday! From October 27-November 2, lesson requests will be open for available lesson days from Saturday, December 12, through Sunday, January 3.

That means you can request lessons for our opening weekend (December 12-13), the holiday week🎁, and dates leading into the New Year🎉!

The Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026🇮🇪 is just 🖐 days away, and the Chairman of the ASF Board of Trustees Vince Passione is just $6,500 away from reaching his lofty fundraising goal of $26,200👏!

His company, LendKey, will match each donation, up to $10,000 as an incentive to help him reach his goal🤯! This could be huge for him and for the ASF, but we need your help to get him across the fundraising finish line though💪

Can you believe that Winter is already approaching and, before you know it, the holidays will be upon us❄️?! We're excited to kickstart the season of giving by introducing our 2026 Annual Appeal💚!

Lindsay Anders is our third and final runner who will be participating in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 with 🇮🇪! She is running with Dell, who we highlighted last week, as the two good friends will be setting off on an unforgettable adventure in the Emerald Isle☘️!

Happy Homecoming at the ASF💚! We’d like to give a special thanks to Kristen Leach, the President of Windham Mountain Club, for chatting with us about what’s going on with WMC and their support of our organization👏

We’d also like to thank Jake Simmons, our keynote speaker, who is an injured veteran who first skied with us at our Bob Stubbs Warriors in Motion Winter Sports Weekend. He shared a little about his life and the inspirational story of how he adapted to life as an amputee⛷️💪.

And finally, thank you to our wonderful volunteers who came out to spend the day with us! We have the best volunteers in the world, and we’re so lucky to have you all a part of our organization💚!

We’re thrilled to be supporting and lending a bike to Gavin of the NYS Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Project Coalition, as he plans to ride from Albany to Long Island for the Tour de Valor next week👏👏👏!

The coalition raises awareness for important causes that affect the lives of veterans around the country.

Good luck, Gavin! We’ll be cheering you on as you make your way downstate💚💪!
