🌸 World Menopause Day 🌸
Hot flashes, night sweats, and changing sleep patterns are often associated with menopause. But there’s another important aspect of women’s health that deserves attention: sleep apnea.
Hormonal changes during menopause can increase a woman’s risk of developing obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a condition that causes repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep.
😴 Do you wake up feeling exhausted, even after a full night in bed?💤 Experience daytime fatigue, morning headaches, or difficulty concentrating?🌙 Notice new or worsening snoring or restless sleep?
These symptoms shouldn’t automatically be attributed to menopause or aging. Sleep apnea can affect women differently, and it may go unrecognized.
At Great New Smile, we provide care focused on breathing, sleep, and overall well-being, including oral appliance therapy for appropriate patients with sleep apnea.
This World Menopause Day, let’s make sleep health part of the conversation. 💗
